Looks like the X - Files boxsets will be rereleased shortly with a lower RRP of £35 per season. Already spotted these on Amazon and Tesco websites at around £30 although I don`t think release date is certain.
Worth holding off buying at current prices if you are collecting the boxsets.

don`t expect these til at least june - they are being released as amarays and not the same digipack case as the original releases came in so completists may not like it as they will not match
amazon are selling most of the current seasons for around £39.99 each so not that much more than the price you quote and in the original packaging-
i just need season 6 now and i`ll have 7 of them -

Well it took some 2 years, but I may soon get season 1 and season 2 for £29.99 as originally I was one of the idiots that thought HMV would supply at this price in their wonderful "sale". Good things come to those who wait. :D
