Tesco got some bargins on exercise stuff at the moment....Tesco Healthyliving Stepper Machine originally £119.99 down to £59.99 now down to £29.99....To good to pass up..Its got a computer that monitors scan, hand pulse, time, count, total count and calories. Just put it together and well happy with it...There is also a magnetic exercise bike for £59.99 and various cheap small weights and hand grips for the self abusers out there.... :D

Good spot mate cheers. Just been down and got one for the Mrs, looks like a good piece of kit.

If anyone wants an excercise bike Aldi had a great magnetic one in the other week, we got one of those too, they may still have some left. Does time, distance, calories, pulse etc, and each can be preset for anything you like, 5 mins, 500 cals etc. Also has scan, and if you have a seperate heart rate monitor (did one of those as a special buy last week) it has a built in receiver to pick it up and display it on the cycle computer. It has a handy recovery feature too, where it checks your pulse for a minute after you stop exercising to see how well your heart rate recovers, then gives you a fitness rating you can compare each time, all on a really big display.

Everything is adjustable, seat height and length, handlebar angle, will even take your favourite bike seat, and has good pedals with footstraps too. Nearest thing I could find in Argos and Index were around £200, this is £90 at Aldi.

Is there a link to this stepper on the Tesco website. I would take a drive up to the Falkirk store but I have had a couple o` swallies too much so I might take a look on line if that is possible.

I couldn`t find it when I looked earlier, so I just had a run to Tesco for a look, they had 3 left. Can`t fall off for that price, similar one in Argos for £85.

Thanks for that terrortic! Just nipped out to get one of the Steppers. Looks a great buy at the price and judging by the weight of the box it`s pretty solid.

Choagy - if you don`t have any luck in Falkirk I picked mine up in the new Tesco Extra in Cumbernauld town centre. Had 6 or 7 left on the shelf.

Pick one of these up too, very good value and very solid.

Had about 10 left in Tescos in Reading.

Anyone else had problems with these?

Bought one, put it together and tested it out. The plate that holds the handlebars to the body of the machine was held in place with 2 welds. The minute you put any pressure on it the welds broke.

Check your things carefully...

Mine has a silver plate with two sturdy bolts to hold the handles to the main frame...The only place that looks welded is the plate on the top for the computer.

It`s the plate itself that`s snapped. The circular bit that the handlebars pass through was welded to the flat bit that bolts onto the main frame.

Ohhh dear must have been a fault in the weld... :/ ..Im sure you will be able to replace or refund.Mine seems sturdy enough.Never mind better luck next time...
