Page 1 of Virgin 3 for £20 inc. One very good bargain

Hi all,

New offer at Virgin, includes most of X-mas sale stock. But one very good bargain: The Shield Season 1 !!! Warning i`m certain they`ll sell fast (currently £17.99 at Play)

I managed to snag The Shield, About Schmidt, and Thelma and Louise SE, all for £20.

Just thought i`d better let you guys know.

Nah. They will go up in price to £13.99 for a month and then appear in a "Half Price Sale" at £6.99 ;)

One or two other decent DVDs in this sale:

- Gangs of New York (2 Disc)
- 8 Mile

(At Oxford store, at least.)

Many CDs are also in the sale, and as you can mix and match between DVDs and CDs to make up your 3 for £20, I picked up the Moulin Rouge soundtrack too.

I picked up the Shield, Narc and John Carpenter`s Prince of Darkness.
Haven`t seen any of them, but should be good. There was still 1 more set of the Shield at my store, and that was Virgin Megastore Express (ex-V Shop). :D

My DVD collection.

I bought Prince of Darkness too not so long ago and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I just love the grainy print and the "old-school" horror-ness of it all.

Not great as a film to get people round to watch but ok for a Sunday afternoon - I do remember this film being fairly legendary when I was at school....hmm, now there`s an idea for a thread.....over to the General Forum I think!

Somehow I missed seeing this released but quickly grabbed it in the 3 for £20 offer. With the Shield it was a question of minutes (felt like hours) trying to find that third item.
