Splash £2 off everything offer

Roger James (Elite) posted this on Friday, 12th September 2003, 08:43

Just had the e-mail so I followed the link, but it`s either £2 already taken off, or the offer doesn`t work. Tried adding something to my cart, but it didn`t reduce in price! Then went onto site via normal link, which doesn`t mention £2 off, and the price was the same!! Anyone know which way it works? Mind you, although i`ve never had a problem with them, some of the postings about Splash are putting me off a bit. Roger.

I believe the £2 has been deducted from all the prices on the website. Certainly the CD I was checking out last week is now £2 cheaper. However on most new items they probably will have put the price up in preparation over the last couple of days, so you most likely won`t notice any difference. Sneaky, but most of the shops on the high street use the same tactic during "promotions". I guess we`re all just mugs.

Yes, the price has already been taken off...which is fine by me, as the stuff I`m after was quite cheap. Had to make sure it was `in stock` first by calling them though as I`m not prepared to wait another 4 weeks before finding out they haven`t got it.

I reckon a lot of the prices had gone up by about £1, so there`s still a £1 net saving.

Don`t know about that...
I`ve been thinking about buying "Stop Making Sense" for a while, and Splash`s price has definitely dropped by £2 (and maybe even £3 since I last checked).

Well I like to put me vouchers in and see the price drop,it appeals to my greedy side.

It will be intresting to see how fast Alan gets is order.
