Cheap Scanner

Axe-man (Competent) posted this on Thursday, 10th July 2003, 14:21

Just bought a Visioneer 4800 USB Scanner from Dixons for under £10. Don`t know if it`s any good, but it`s supposed to work with Windows 98 and XP.
Comes with a USB lead which would cost about £15 in Dixons anyway.
I`m afraid I don`t know if this offer applies everywhere, but knowing Dixons, it probably does.

They`ve got a RRP of £50, so that`s some saving.

I`ve got the 8700 which is excellent!

Closer inspection reveals that the USB cable is actually attached to the scanner - and it`s certainly been out of the box before! So it may not be brand new, although it was not sold as ex display or a customer return. Still, if it works, I`ll be happy.
