kywy (Elite) posted this on Monday, 23rd June 2003, 10:17

Serif are selling a minature ( 58mm x 41mm x 15 mm ) digital camera for £ 9.99 with P&P 5.95
The camera can take up to 80 snaps at low res, can take short video and doubles up as a usb webcam.
Comes with usb cable, pouch, Arcsoft Photo Impressions software and a free copy of Serif`s well reviewed Photoplus 6.5 software.

Seems like a good buy for simple snaps, kids birthdays, early stocking fillers etc, the same camera at over £ 41.00 shown here

The freephone order line is 0800 376 4800

Cheers

Seems like a good deal but you need a quote code to order. It was a mail promotion.

Sorry Folks,
You are quite correct Small Cheese, after a search I found the quote code hidden in plain view in the address box, ;-) though if previous experience is a yardstick it should be easy enough to place an order irrespective.

Quote code on the mailshot I received is DGD103-3.

Be ready for a strong sell from some Nottingham chick on their latest products as well (Photoplus 8.0, Pageplus 8.0, Drawplus 7.0) - I managed to wangle postage and packaging down to £3 by taking them up on the full lot, and extended the returns period from 30 to 60 days!

Cheers,

Phn

Glad it wasn`t just me who got the strong sell. It was like talking to a doulble glazing saleman.

Got the camera thou and was told it would arrive in 7 -30 days.

Yeah, and once you`ve ordered something from them prepare to get called day and night for the rest of your LIFE! They`re still blindly insisting that their stuff is better than Photoshop...

my dad got one and we both found it a tad cheap (well it is cheap!) and bewarned the USB connection may give you a headache claiming its not connected properly when it is connected the only way it can be... my dad has since consigned it to collect dust somewhere in the house... and yup its all but a marketing ploy to be subjected to the worst telesales experince on the face of the planet... "would you like to buy... NO!, Would you be interested in NO!, its only... NO! but really would you like to buy Noooooooooooooooooooooooo! "

I bought a very nice Aiptek cordless pen/mouse tablet from Serif for a bargain basement price a few months ago, and yes they will try to Quote:
persuade
you to take other products, but its easy enough to sayQuote:
No thank you, I only want the tablet / camera
politely and firmly.

Good training for the Electricity / Gas board / Double glazing / Quote:
