RE: 8-Way E-Pilot Remote Control
I also had one of these and got rid of it, the battery life was roughly 2months, i would avoid them.

the above link is to a remote which is exactly the same remote just badged different.
RE: 8-Way E-Pilot Remote Control
I bought one of these the first time they were on sale (approximately 7 months ago). It`s been pretty much in constant use since, and controls my TV, DVD Player, Amp and VCR. The macro functions are very handy too.
Battery life 2 months? Were you sitting on it or something?!?
I would have been O.K. with the 2 month battery life although because of the distance between sofa and equipment ( over 3 mts ) it was nowhere near that, but the one I had lost parts of makro`s as the batteries ran down and you either had to partically stand beside the TV to get it to work or it just refused entirely until you changed the batteries.
And yes I tried nimh rechargables, no difference except in the cost.
You pays your money and you takes your chances.

This is exactly the thing that I am looking to buy at the moment.
I need one to operate TV, Sky, DVD, Amp & Video. I`ve seen the One-For-All (sounds a bit Muskateer for me!) for £59.99 which I quite like, does anybody have this or have any thoughts on it please??

The one that you have mentioned seems to be on there too, but it`s £10 more expensive.
