Page 1 of Gameboy Advance - £49 in Argos

Hi Everyone,

First post for me, found that argos are selling the gameboy advance for £49.96 that`s £20 cheaper than most other places(comet,currys, etc). Looked online aswell and couldn`t find anywhere that came any closer than £59.

This is a good bargain, but more than likely it`s because they`re bringing out the new GBA with a flip-up, backlit screen. The older model is going to become old hat, so they`re probably tying to shift the stock while they can!

Old hat? It`ll still play the games, and if you`ve got a decent anglepoise lamp or a sunny day they`re definitely worth using. Well worth a purchase, I think.

Don`t get me wrong, I `aint having a pop at the GBA, merely trying to explain the drop in price. Although the new GBA SP does look nice, especially with the flip-up screen protecting it when not in use...!

Hehe - I know. I really like the fact that you linked back to gamesradar. I work at Future Publishing, and that website is created about 10 feet away from where I`m currently sitting. I know the writers!

I`ve used the new gameboy and can say the screen`s much, much clearer than the old one.

Ha ha! So now you`re trying to talk everyone out of buying a GBA!
BTW, PSM2 is the best PS2 mag by miles!

Not trying to talk them out of it, just talking from a Bargain Hunter`s perspective. The old GBA will soon be cheaper to buy. Would make a nice gift for the kiddies.

PSM2 is a rather fine publication indeed, and all the better for my occassional contributions to it.

do you know if you get any games for the gba for only £49 at argos????????? or have you got to get them aswell? as i am thinking of geting one for my little girl for here birhday?
