Multiregion Acoustic Solutions DVD Player - £49.95

This is the Acoustic Solutions DVD321 player, which although advertised on the site as "Region 2 Only", can be hacked to be multiregion.

Apparently, the multi-region version also sold on the site for an extra tenner is the same player and someone has gone on to the net, got the hack and unlocked it. So save yourself a tenner and go for this !

No idea, I`m afraid. I got the offer from their e-mail newsletter, but won`t be buying one, as I use my PS2 to play them instead.

ordered one for my housemate, seems good value, they have a good guarantee as well, if you don`t claim, you get the money back that you spent on the guarantee.

I got one for my sister at christmas and they were £59.99 or £69.99 for multiregion

I asked for region2 (assumed there would be a crack out eventually) and they were out of stock. But they had the multiregion and i was desperate.
When my sister opened the box it was a region2 with a sheet of paper in with instructions how to hack it :E
I phoned up to complain but the shop swore down they had an extra chip in and you couldnt hack the normal region2. I now know this to be false.

Anyone else found that richer always push you to buy the next model up??

As for the player, it looks cheap and tacky. There is no display and where it should be is blocked with a bit of silver plastic.
If you notice on the site, its airbrushed over.

My lesson is not to be smoothtalked by richer staff again.

Are you saying you were able to 100% hack this R2 version for MR disable macrovision and enable VCD playback ? Can you provide any pics of it and the remote please ?
