Samsung DVD-R3000

Is this recorder any good? Tesco.com have it for £499.00. I checked www.unbeatable.co.uk and it was over £800. It does DVD-RAM which I like the idea of. How does it compare to the Panasonic EM30 (think that is correct model no)?

Cheers,
Paul

tempting as it is around the £800 at a few places

its available in america for around $500 mark which is just under £320
if they have voltage switch it`s a shame you couldn`t import one

also a few places in USA state that its no longer available and discontinued, wonder if this is why it`s cheap in this country now

Home choice November issue has a review of this player and the Panasonic DMR-E30, dunno what it said tho

maybe someone has one at hand?

I think it is a clone of a Panasonic DMR-E20 which was originally £1000.
I have several of the DMR E-20s and they are excellent.
The features it has over the DMR-E30 are:
1: it has an i-Link input for connectiing a digital camcorder
2: It has manual record audio control
Otherwise performance is identical
DVD-Ram is THE way ahead...
