£6.49 each at amazon.with postage will be about £7.75(Cheaper than splash)
I know that there are box sets for £17.99 each @splash but i have odd discs so no point in buying box sets for me. Plus amazon delivery is very quick. Normally get stuff the next day. Also handy if u have gift certificates

If you`re after the individual discs www.dvd.co.uk are doing them at £7.49 per disc inc delivery, although the boxsets aren`t as cheap as Splash.

Oh oh... looks like Splash may be letting everyone down! I ordered box sets 1 thru 6 from them last week... got this e-mail today:

"Dear Valued Customer

We regret to inform you that we have had a problem with our Friends Box Sets promotion.

We have been badly let down by Warner Bros who assured us that these were on their way to us last Thursday. However, yesterday morning we were contacted by Warner Bros who told us that in fact they did not have the box sets available and had no plans to make any more until after Christmas. This means that the box sets are not currently available anywhere in the UK.

Naturally we were very unhappy about this and made this very clear to Warner Bros. We realise that you and many other customers have already pre-ordered and were looking forward to receiveing these dvds at the excellent promotion price.

Following lengthy discussions direct with Warner Bros, it looks like we may have found a way to honour all orders currently held, but the problem is that delivery may be delayed by up to a week.

Our sincere apologies for this. The problem was not of our making, but I assure you that I personally and many others in the team here have been working overtime to sort this out and make sure our customers get what they want

If you do not wish to wait and would prefer a refund, please reply to this email confirming your order number and your card will be credited today.

If you are happy to wait then thank you for your understanding and I assure you of our best endeavours to get you your orders as soon as possible.

Best Regards

Chris Shelton
Director

One thing i forgot to mention above (in case you didnt read the whole e-mail) - they had already charged cards!!!

I had contacted them a couple of days ago - and was assured that the dvds would be despatched today or tomorrow. The delay was blamed on bad weather (!?) Changing stories are not a good sign!!

Doesn`t read to me like they are trying to let us all down?

seems quite positive I reckon

at least they look like they`re trying and I`ve only had good responses from them during telephone conversations !

They`re also v. cheap at HMV at the moment (well, at least at the Worcester branch). Great - after I spent full price getting them when they first came out.

Splashdvd are a great company. They have stated that they are doing their best and have argued their case to WB who will be sending them the boxsets be it a bit late. They charged your card to speed up things as they were expecting the delivery and would have wanted you to get ur product asap. It is not their fault that they didnt get the delivery. Plus they are gonna get some box sets especially for you guys who have already ordered.

The nature of the email seems very apologetic and Chris Shelton is a straight up guy. Any problems I have had during many orders with under 18/splash dvd have been resolved by him and his team.

If warner bros arent giving out the boxsets on promotion, then no retailer will be selling more than they have in stock at this special promotion price. That includes play, amazon and all the rest. These retailers will sell what they have in stock and then will have to declare the item out of stock till whenever the date that wb have stated is.

He has given you two choices. You can take the refund or wait a little longer to get your discs at a dirt cheap price. I know which one i`d go for.

Sorry Dicanio - didn`t mean to insult Splash but most companies would state that they`re "doing their best" even if they aren`t. The only way for customers to know for sure is if the goods eventually do turn up... (and i hope they do).

I`ve ordered from Splash quite a few times before, and they`ve been great. I was just a bit confused that on Tuesday they told me the delay was due to bad weather, then yesterday it became a bigger with WB.

Anyway, hope WB come through!

I have to agree with on that one Mr. Scaramanga. I phoned them on Tuesday also and was told that they were waiting for VAT stickers but the DVD`s WERE in stock.

Just got the most recent email saying that the DVD`s should be dispatched by 13th Nov so all is looking well!

Can`t wait to get them, mega cheap!
