Triple Boris Karloff £3.22 at Ezy
In case anyone`s interested, Ezy are offering a Dvd with 3 Boris Karloff movies on. Includes The Mummy, The Raven and one other. It`s on offer at £3.22 + postage. It`s a classic but just don`t expect 5.1 sound! There are other more modern movies, but watch the sound options, some that you would expect to have surround are only Stereo or even Mono. Roger.

The third movie is the black cat. Unfortuntately the Raven isn`t the Vincent Price version as the packaging alludes to. The transfers are obviously NTSC to PAL conversions but overall good for the price.

Watch the aspect ratios too - quite a lot are 4:3

Has it got Dolby Digital or DTS, is it Widescreen 16:9-
How about 3D as well? :-)

Yes, Pat, I think most of these buggers will want free 3-D glasses with it as well!! ;-D
RE: Triple Boris Karloff £3.22 at Ezy
No, not really - I`ve already got about 3 pairs...
I just wanted to point out that some of the more recent titles aren`t as expected - i.e. widescreen.
3 quid wasted on some 4:3 rubbish is 3 quid not spent on a decent title.
The Karloff title is a genuine bargain - the orginal Mummy and Black Cat features are classics and The Raven is one of Karloff`s earliest appearences.
No pleasing some people....

The Cinemascope 2.35:1 ratio wasn`t used until 16th September 1953 (although cinerama had been used a year earlier).
Up until then 1.33:1 was the standard ratio, so films from the thirties aren`t likely to be widescreen.
And Boris Karloff had starred nearly 100 films before The Raven.

Hi Can you tell me how the duty is worked out when ordering DVDs from another country,as i would like to buy 4-5 dvd titles from this place(some cheap WWF titles for my son and also Star Wars episode one).
It works out at about 52 quid in total inc the P+P.
Any help will be appreciated.

Customs allowances is only £18 or £36 if marked as a gift
Post & packing is not that much from Ezy, so why not place your orders in 3 lots of under $60
Sending from Aus costs $9.50 (about £3.30) for 2 discs- (that's £1.65 a disc). Buying all 5 at the same time would cost $25 (£8.90), which is £1.78 a disc. So it's no dearer to pay for 3 lots of post instead of one
Ezy's shipping rates-
Quantity
1 AU$05.50
2 AU$09.50
3 AU$18.00
4 AU$21.00
5 AU$25.00
Have to say I've never been caught by customs, but I don't order over the allowance if I can help it
