RE: GOODMANS GDVD301R

I just bought one of these and had a play, here is a simpler set of instructions

Turn Recorder on with no disc in drive, put recorder in DVDR mode (DVD-RW logo screen), press `Return` (The Menu Return button not the green enter button), press `Display` Press 8880

You will see the words `Set Region Free` in the top left of the screen

A much easier way to explain how to reveal would be to say:

`just fast click on the word spoiler 3 times`

RE: Epson C44 Plus Printer ?34.99 @ Currys .

I have never had a problem with EPSON, I bought a C44 cos my old 480 was looking old, but still running perfectly, ink is cheap when you buy compatible cartridges, I get 6 black and 6 colour for £30 inc P&P and these are as good if not better than the originals.

RE: Blockbuster Bargains!

This has been posted before, I have bought loads of ex-rental dvd`s from blockbuster and global.

Stay away from Rental Versions though, they are high priced with very few features.

You say `sure enough, the boxes, inserts and discs looked like new`.

The discs are the only thing that is given with a rental, the boxes and inserts are stored away and not used, the discs are generally in good nick though and you do get a 12 month guarantee with them.

RE: Internet-ready ad-ware PCs

RE: Play`s Account Page

I think all you will get is an email saying that they wont sell at that price and another one saying that your banned from using the site, then for a few quid of savings you have to pay more for your dvd`s.

RE: FREE External CD Rewriter!!!

The messages on the forums seem to be answered quickly, maybe something should be posted on there

RE: FREE External CD Rewriter!!!

Just a question on Terms and Conditions, it is my thinking that none of there terms and conditions can be referred to as you are never directed to them or told to read them when you place an order?

RE: FREE External CD Rewriter!!!

I agree, its not something I wanted but if they are gonna give me one I wont say no

Shaun

RE: FREE External CD Rewriter!!!

I hope all does go well, this is the first one I have managed to get, having missed the kodak one

RE: BLOCKBUSTER SALE

We have so many they have compiled an ex-rental chart needless to say Harry Potter is No1

RE: BLOCKBUSTER SALE

Been back again today, they now have a lot more in stock, they are using a full stand for ex-rental dvd`s now, I picked up Harry Potter, Legally Blonde and The Parole Officer, there were well over 30 titles to choose from today, definately the best selection of ex-rentals I have seen in there

On the subject of ex-rentals, Global have a good selection, they have a thing they call rent or buy, basically most of their rental dvd`s you have the option to buy, usually for about a tenner

I definately think the way forward for my DVD collection is ex-rental dvd`s, dirt cheap and come with full 12 month warranties

Shaun

RE: Paypal,Who Uses It?

I agree, I stopped using paypal when nochex opened

Never had any trouble with NOCHEX, very recognised on eBay aswell

RE: BLOCKBUSTER SALE

I tend to find that sometimes the ex-rental boxes although not sent out with the film during rentals are sometimes a bit tatty or the contents are incomplete, I tend to find that a trip over to the new dvd`s can often improve your ex-rental dvd`s with a quick sticker change

RE: BLOCKBUSTER SALE

I was tempted by the Parole Officer, but as it was a rental version I didnt want to get two on the 3 for 2 offer, I will probably get it on my next visit along with planet of the apes 2 disc set and moulin rouge 2 disc set

Shaun

RE: BLOCKBUSTER SALE

Went down but was a lot more tempted by the 3 for 2 on ex rentals, large selection in the Grimsby store, I got American Pie 2, Mike Bassett and Scary Movie 2, I know Scary Movie 2 is a rental version but I only wanted it for the film as the extras on this film will probably be rc[at]p anyway, anyway, all 3 cost me about £28

Shaun

RE: Attack Of The Clones for £10

I have a vcd copy of Episode 2 and although the picture quality isnt brilliantly clear and it is recorded in a cinema, there is no disruption from anybody in the cinema...if there is anyone in there. and the sound quality is ok too, it reminds me of one of those old things I used to watch...umm what was it....oh yes, VHS

The only reason I got a copy of it is that I am not a great Star Wars fan so wouldnt go to the cinema and at £3 its worth it to see what the fuss is about, I enjoyed it and if someone asks me to go see it I might go with her ;)

Shaun

RE: Dansai 852 whats macro?

"Why do you think it hasn`t - why not try it and post the results"

Eh??

Macrovision prevents you from connecting your dvd to a vhs and copying, disabling it will allow you to copy.

RE: Is it really a bargain??

Who Cares, at £4 each it is a cheap way to add 2 to your collection

RE: For Sale: KNITTING PATTERN FOR ITV DIGITAL MONKEY - BOUGHT IN ERROR FROM EBAY

RE: Is it really a bargain??

Well I ordered a copy, anyone else think it`s worth £4 a disc?

RE: Copying CDs while surfing the Net?

You say you have errors because you have 3 programs installed

I have found that Nero conflicts badly with Easy CD Creator, best to get rid of one if you have them both.

I use Easy CD Creator and CloneCD mainly so dont bother installing anything else

Shaun

Is it really a bargain??

Play have listed a box set of Big Brother Uncut

Series 1 and 2 for £7.99

http://www.play.com/Play247.asp?page=title&r=R2&title=102751

The reason for me posting this as a bargain is that they have them both listed seperately for £11.99 and £14.99 respectively

That is a total saving of £18.99

RE: Brass Eye Special

Recieved my copy this morning.......I LOVE IT!
