Connecting a Samsung TV to a sherwood reciever
Hi guys
Stupid question time agin I`m afraid. How can I go about connecting my samsung TV to my reciever via the Scart leads. I`ve seen IXOS cabl;es which will split a scart to 2 RCA but I don`t think this will work, will it?
HELP
RE: AV Receiver/Amp for £200 or less?
I ended up buying the Sherwood 7106 for £299. It`s basically the same reciever but it has 100watts per channel instead of 60.

RE: AV Receiver/Amp for £200 or less?
Nick
I was thinking along exactly the same lines as you a few months ago. Ieven ordered an strde445 from empire direct. After waiting a month and then being told that sony weren`t producing them I went to richer sounds. I evetually spent alot more than £200 but I listened to a sherwood 6106 which has 60 watts per channel, 5.1 decoder and DTS. It sounded really good and only cost £199 and you can walk into the store and pick one up. It might also be worth checking www.richersounds.co.uk because a few weeks ago they had some of these as ex demo`s to sell and they were going for around £150. I suspect they might get some more at some point.
I hope this helps

RE: After a home cinema system around £200 can anyone recommend one?
That would be the 6106, it`s a good reciever but I think it`s a little underpowered. The others around £200 would probably be the Yamaha 496 or the Sony 445. Both are a little cheaper, but I`ve had great difficulty getting hold of either of them and would suggest the Sherwood.
Look at www.richersounds.co.uk in the managers clearence section, they are selling them for £150 ish
Hope this helps

RE: JIMBO ITTROLL ANY OTHER LG3350 USER
Thanks Jimbo,
Now where`s that order form
RE: JIMBO ITTROLL ANY OTHER LG3350 USER
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I HATE DABS
I`ve had this player on order from them since the 15th of Janurary and in all of this time they haven`t contacted me once to inform me of further delays which have happened all along.
Someone please answer this thread so that I can buy an Awia and not give dabs my money.
RE: Surround speakers: Eltax ... Movie Maxx ...or... Symphony?
I looked at both of these systems and the centres are definately shielded but I`m not sure about the others. Just one more thing, take a look at www.hed.co.uk they have the eltax hollywood speakers which look pretty cool to me.
I was told that the moviemaxx speakers were a bit crappy but if the symphonys fronts are 6.2`s they sound pretty damn good attatched to a mates HIFI.
RE: Cheapskate Speaker + Amp
Thanks for all your help guys. I`ve just had a small bonus from work so I`ve bought the eltax hollywood speakers as I saw a good review of them and I`ve coupled it with a sony 445 should be OK I think
Thanks again

RE: Cheapskate Speaker + Amp
Another quick thought. The videologic digitheatre LC gives me the package without the decoder but as the amps are built in to the speakers presumably I could get a DD system for about £110. Then I might be able to upgrade by getting a dts decoder in the future. Any Ideas on this as I`m not sure how the digithatre speakers are compared to the eltax moviemaxx.
RE: Cheapskate Speaker + Amp
Ideally I want the cheapest DTS system with a view to upgrading the speakers to match the amp later on. I`d rather not get a bundle as I think I might have problems upgrading later on. Is this wrong? Could I upgrade. I`ll take a look at the 3500 and the powermax. Thanks for replying guys.

Cheapskate Speaker + Amp
Hi Guys
After all the advice I have shelled out my notes for the LG3350e from DABS I`ve been waiting since 10th of Jan but I need the cheapest price.
I`m now looking to buy an amp as I`ve decided to buy the eltax moviemaxx speakers from richer sounds (anybody know how good they are?) . As much as I`d like to buy a Yamaha DSP-A5 I can`t afford one can anybody recommend a decent budget amp. I`ve been looking at the Sony str-de 445 but I dont know what it`s like and at £170 it`s right at the top of my price range. Any ideas?
Thanks
