Surround speakers: Eltax ... Movie Maxx ...or... Symphony?
The current Richer Sounds "system superdeal" ad in "What Hi-Fi?" has made me think about buying more (!) kit.
Can anybody offer an opinion on one or other (or both) of two of the surround speaker packages in the deal?
The basic ingredient is the Eltax Movie Maxx package.
For an extra £70, an alternative is the Eltax Symphony 6 (fronts) + Symphmony 4 (rears) + Symphony Centre. I am presuming that these are not from the updated Symphony ".2" range (as in Symphony 6.2, etc), but I could be wrong.
I have a pair of this company`s Linear Response 6.5 floorstanders (and have been very pleased with them) but I don`t know a thing about these packages. Their website (www.eltax.dk) does not give much away, and I cannot find any reviews.
This is already very long-winded (apologies!)...but can anyone say for sure if the fronts and centres in these packages are magnetically shielded - and if so is this done adequately?
...and can anyone recommend a subwoofer that would go well with these? (The amp in the set-up is likely to be the Sherwood 6095.)
Thanks - not least for reading this far!

You could always check out their website...

I`ve had a pair of Eltax HT2 rears for a couple of years, and I`ve always been happy with them - word of warning - the cheaper Eltax stuff sold by Richer Sounds is not always that good quality wise, as a friend found out with some cheap (>£100) floorstanders.

I looked at both of these systems and the centres are definately shielded but I`m not sure about the others. Just one more thing, take a look at www.hed.co.uk they have the eltax hollywood speakers which look pretty cool to me.
I was told that the moviemaxx speakers were a bit crappy but if the symphonys fronts are 6.2`s they sound pretty damn good attatched to a mates HIFI.

Many thanks, guys.
Anyone got anything else to add before I take the plunge (Monday, probably)?
