RE: dvd box office rules!!!!
DVDpopcorn is www.dvdpopcorn.com - they even send you a free bag of microwave popcorn.
DVDupdate is (surprisingly) www.dvdupdate.com - they will give you compared prices for a good selection of mail order sites, although they somnetimes get the price wrong for dvdpopcorn.
Play247 have been the best I`ve used for delivery times, But DVDpopcorn have only been late with 1 out of the many I have ordered from there.

RE: dvd box office rules!!!!
I`ve found DVDpopcorn to be generally the cheapest.
If you use DVDupdate, it does price comparisons of some popular sites.
Worth a look.
RE: What is the Best dvd player under £200?
You can get the Lecson DVD-900 from Debenhams for £199 (£189 if you get a Debenhams store card on the spot)
It`s multi-region remote hackable, has a built in Dolby Digital decoder, can play CDRWs, MP3 CDs, VCDs, has 2 SCARTs and looks and sounds great.
It also gets full marks in the What HiFi and What DVD reviews.

RE: DVD player with region 1 NTSC disk converting to PAL for PAL TV
Troll, why is it jerky with PAL50 - I`ve noticed this with my Lecson. Although as you say, I can play region 1s OK with PAL60.
Saying that, I get some flickering diagonal lines at the top of the screen (way outside the actual picture) when using PAL60 on region 1 disks. Is this just my TV, or would it be a decoder thing?

RE: Please advise! About to buy my first player...!
I`ve just bought the Lecson DVD-900 from Debenhams. £199, but if you haven`t got a Debenhams store card, you can get one one the spot and get 5% off.
It can handle VCDs, CDRWs and MP3 CDs, has a built in Dolby digital decoder, and is easily remote hackable to multi-region.
I`ve had no problems with it yet, and have played region 1 and 2 DVDs.
It gets full marks from What HiFi and from their sister DVD publication.
