Sony RDR-GX700 Hack help please ?

Hello Everyone.
I have a rather elderly Sony RDR-GX700 DVD recorder which has received very little use.I know its quite old probably about 5 or 6 years I think but is there anyway to make it multi region?
I want to put it in the bedroom so my partner can watch some US art disks her sister sent her.
Any help would be appreciated

Anyone know anything about the PikaOne DVD+ -RW dual drive.They are region 2.
Is there a hack available ?

I met a dealer last Saturday who sells the Pioneer 530 and he can make them multi region by changing the firmware with a special program in his laptop.He charges IR£200 for the player and IR£50 for the firmware change.I have also seen a site that can do the same thing.According to this site,this is a new development.

Pioneer DV515 Questions ?.

I have a pioneer 515.As far as I know the only way to multi region is to have it chipped.I live in Ireland .Doe`s anyone know where I can get it done.

Someone has a hack posted for the Pioneer 505 later in these postings.I am going to try it on my 515.Maybe that one will work in the 525.
