RE: Scan XSVCD,XVCD and bitrates - f/w upgrade possibility ?

just burnt the test image from vcdhelper for xsvcd at 3500 bits and it works fine
anyone know the maximum bit rate the scan can handle for an xsvcd ?

Scan XSVCD,XVCD and bitrates - f/w upgrade possibility ?

I have a Scan SC2000 and was wondering if anyone has managed to get it to play an XSVCD or higher bit rate burnt cdr
I am converting my home DV output onto a more durable medium , but find the quality of svcd at a max of 2500 very poor
I would like to be able to output something closer to dvd quality or at least a lot less blockier and obviously this require a higher bit rate

Nelley - could these features possibly be added in a f/w release ??

RE: Scan 2000 player superceded ??

I Think you`ll find if you check that URL that it is indeed a newer player
because the scan 2000 and all the clones are the DVD2000
and the DVD3000 is a NEW player - look closely

Scan 2000 player superceded ??

I notice on www.tytelstar.com (the company that supply Scan)
that there is now a DVD 3000 player

RE: Scan SC2000 Firmware 2.08 experiences

Did you have to rename the cdimage from `NEW` to tdvd-000.rom ?
with Nero , or just leave as NEW

Scan 2000 - does it have PAL50 output - for VCR friendly region 1 ?

I have just ordered a Scan 2000 to replace my sammy709
and would like to use the `VCR` friendly feature :)
to backup my region1 dvd`s i.e. so the kids can watch them upstairs on a video
Does the SC-2000 have PAL50/60 or just 60 ?

Which Player to buy Scan , Encore 450 or LG3350

Which of these players is the best out of the three ?
