RE: Apple Ipod Nano stuff at Poundland.
Are these actually APPLE ipod accessories? As in the official ones made by apple? (Not made OF apple...i hope ;) )
Will they work with the new nano as well or just the old one or whatever?
Stew.
RE: Cheap Diesel in Newport, South Wales (if your cheeky!)
Hello everyone, i am currently studying a business law module at university of warwick which includes all the contract law stuff about invitations to treat, offer, acceptance, capacity, etc.
I am however intrigued by this because when you go to buy fuel, you do NOT specifically OFFER to purchase the petrol for a given amount to any person, you go up to a machine that has the amount already programmed in, so it is as if you have already been made the offer by the sign/price and you are accepting it by using the filling machine.
I am not choosing sides here at all but was merely wondering who you are actually making an OFFER to if the sign is considered an invitation to treat?
If anyone here has ever studied the case of Carlill V Carbolic Smoke Ball Co 1892, this may be of relevance here. This case for people that don`t know features a company that offered £1000 to anyone that purchased their product and found it didnt work. The case was decided with the decision that AN OFFER CAN BE MADE AS PART OF AN ADVERT TO A GROUP OF PEOPLE OR EVEN THE WHOLE WORLD. Meaning that if a company makes a specific offer within an advert (ie, "we will give you a free pen if you purchase a bag from us") then they BY LAW, they have to give you the pen if you purchase the bag, because purchasing the bag is considered sufficient ACCEPTANCE.
Remember, i am not taking sides here, simply providing imho interesting information. Lol.
RE: Asda - Pepsi Frenzy (again)

RE: MagicFreebies? maybe not!
Having just read through this thread and found it very amuzing, I thought I would post a reply as well.
I am going to sit on the fence as to say that roger is right that SOME of magicfreebies posts are annoying, BUT it is only the ones that say something like "free football" in the title, then when you click on it you discover you have to phone up some number and argue with a sales assistant to get your football.
HAS ANYONE EVER BOTHERED TO DO THESE?! :p
The posts that are titled "free toffee" however are exactly that and by clicking on it, you know you are being taken to a thread that details how to get free toffee, if you don`t want free toffee however then why bother clicking on the "free toffee" link?! Lol!!
I think magicfreebies posts are excellent most of the time and he titles them very well, i just don`t like the ones that require you to phone someone.
Thank you for letting me have my say, long as it may be.

RE: Has there been an all in one DVD freeview Dvd player invented?
Not a bargain but my dad has just purchased the Sony RDR-HXD560 DVD Recorder / HDD Recorder.
This has freeview, an 80gb hard disk and a dvd recorder built in. We are very pleased with it and would reccomend it to anyone, its fantastic.
RE: cheap bluetooth headset ?
Yup, looks cheap to me, although it does look rather bulky and it doesn`t actually sit on your ear. You clip it on your clothing and have a standard earphone running up to your ear.
Let us know what you think though, definately!! :D

RE: Uniross fast charger with 4xAAA 900mAH batteries £4.99

Aldi are selling packs of NiMH batteries for £1.99, sizes AAA to D are available
Yes they are, they are also selling those NiMH square batteries, whatever they are called!
RE: Free DVD recorder and money off with any LCD TV at Amazon.
Hey, elephant/snookums.
You only posted it yesterday at 2pm. A lot of our members only visit the site around once a week, give it some time and I bet you will get lots of posts.
Seems like a good deal 2 me, im just trying it out now, im looking for a decent DVD recorder and to get the LCD tv for only a little bit more would be a pretty decent deal me thinks! :p
RE: Uniross fast charger with 4xAAA 900mAH batteries £4.99
OK, for the people that want it, this charger is the "UNiROSS X-Press 300 Compact Charger". It features the ablility to charge Ni-Cd (Nickle Cadnium) and Ni-MH (Nickle Metal Hydride) batteries. Sizes AA, AAA and 9V (square thingys).
Here is a link to the very same charger selling for 14.99. The only difference is this one comes with 4 AA batteries instead of 4 AAA batteries:
http://www.focusdiy.co.uk/invt/24542
The charging times are as follows:
AA 800mAh Ni-Cd 3 Hours
AA 1300mAh Ni-MH 5 Hours 20 Minutes
AA 2100mAh Ni-MH 8 Hours
AA 2300mAh Ni-MH 9 Hours
AA 250mAh Ni-Cd 2 Hours 20 Minutes
AA 700mAh Ni-MH 7 Hours 20 Minutes
AA 900mAh Ni-MH 9 Hours
9V 170mAh Ni-MH 11 Hours
Quote:
so it`s not a "fast" charger then ?
I guess not, these times dont seem like lightening to me. I have one of the older UNiROSS Ni-MH chargers and it can charge 2100mAh batteries in about 2-3 hours and it has a sensor that actually detects when they are charged. Decent charger for the money though and definately good enough for charging the batteries for my sisters mp3 player which only uses one AAA battery at once so no need for fast charge.

RE: Uniross fast charger with 4xAAA 900mAH batteries £4.99
OK, i picked up one of these chargers from Netto today. Seems very good quality, havent tried it yet though.
One thing i noticed is that the charger does not have a sensor to detect when the batteries are charged and just keeps going for a set time. 9 hours to charge the batteries that come with it.
Thanks OP
RE: Uniross fast charger with 4xAAA 900mAH batteries £4.99
Oh wait, i think im getting myself confused here :/
What I meant was I don`t think I have ever seen a battery charger that comes with AAA batteries. All the ones I have seen come with the slightly larger AA batteries.
Also, is this battery charger for those Nickle Metal Hydride batteries? (NiMH).
RE: King Kong 2 Disc Region 2 £7.99 at cd-wow...
Says £8.99 now, or am I supposed to use one of my many £1 vouchers ;)
RE: Uniross fast charger with 4xAAA 900mAH batteries £4.99
REALLY!?
It comes with AAA batteries? Those are the really small ones, dont think I have ever seen a charger that comes with those. Usually the AA batteries.
Ill be going netto tomorrow ;)
