why is the torrent im downloading stuck at 99.2% ? no matter how long i leave it on for it aint budgin, im using utorrent as the client

ive heard talk about these, what excatly are they? i got virgin media (medium package) and i was told if i hook one of these up i can get all the channels, sports, porn etc, is that right?

thinkin of getting this tv 280346469061 off ebay, anyone got any opinions on it? should be a good combination with this 250425370311 also of ebay, just wished they did one with a hdd recorder as well.

thanks for that. think i might have to bite the bullet though and get one as we`ve just moved house and are now setting up the tv/dvd, ive managed to talk the wife into having the tv on the chimney breast ( im now the dishwasher for the next yr! ) just gotta change my 32" panasonic to a larger tv possibly 50" ( check out my other thread)

blu ray 5.1 home cinema?

is there such a thing? reason im askin is because im thinkin of getting a blu ray player but if it means ive gotta keep my old 5.1 home cinema i cant see the point as i`ll get a better picture but it wont be in 5.1 and i`ll also have to keep my dvd recorder as well, seems a lot of equipment just for playin blu ray discs. i have seen this on ebay :

i also am not workin, buildin trade is dead so every penny counts at the moment but i do really need a lap top for the wife and kid, i suppose it could be called an early xmas present.

when i say cheap i mean max £200, is was biddin on one off ebay, went up to £132 but it went for 134.
only really basic 20gb h/drive, xp, 512ram etc small screen just basic of basic really.
i brought my desktop pc but i said i would go halfs with the wife, cuz it will need to be wifi etc so thats going to cost to get that all set up, thanks so far 4 everyones help.

cheap laptop

anybody got any ideas where i can get one from? its only really for my kid and wife, so ain`t got to be anything special, its just so i can stay on my desktop pc then they can use the laptop for surfin and emailin.

Fully agree with u bandicoot, it would help if we got all the people off our roads who don`t have a full driving licience, road tax,insurance,mot. the simple fact is, there simply are just too many people living on this small island of ours, and a lot just keep taking and not giving anything in return.
i`m self-employed, have been for 15 yrs, i`ve been off work now for 9 mths and i can`t get a penny even though i`ve paid my stamp, tax etc, i can understand why so many people are leaving this country, because it really has gone to the dogs.

Well i reinstalled vista, then deleted everything in windows old, installed Norton,search and destroy,cw shredder and got firefox as my browser, i did`nt have any need to use the drivers and utlities disk. It now works a treat, nice and fast, with none of the crap that kept popping up. Thanks guys for all your help. :)

Yes please xfg. Istill think i might get someone to sort out my PC as miles says it`s always good to get it back to the way it was when you first brought it, and it gets rid of all the crap that builds up.

I forgot to say, if i click tools/internet options/privacy, it say`s `accept all cookies` so i set it to medium (apply/o.k)but it never stays on that setting, it keeps going back to accept all cookies?

My internet security is upto date now, but when norton 2007 expired, i was having trouble installing new software, it was saying it could`nt install as there was still bits of norton still on, but then if found out you have to run a norton removal tool :p But, i did make sure windows firewall and defender was running in the mean time. It`s doing my head in, i think i`m just gonna throw it out the window, then dig out my old commodore 64! I never had any probs with that.

I THINK i might have a virus or something as everytime i go on the net, my homepage comes up then loads of other pages, mainly asking me to install programs etc, it`s a nightmare.

I`m having probs with my dellC521 so i would like to take it back to the factory settings.
I`ve backed up all my programs,pics etc and i`ve got the driver and utilities disk and Vista home premium disk for reinstallation so what do i do next? is it something to do with pressing f12 on start up?
