After having a very bad experience with the Chilli MX105 (because it was useless pile of rubbish), I would never recommend a Chili dvd player to anyone.

I got to Beckton Lidl this morning by 8.00 am, I didn`t see any dvd players pilled up on pallets, but several people had many players in their trolleys despite the fact the Manager had clearly said only 1 dvd player per customer.

I found a man who had at least 8 in his trolley hiding at the back of the store, on his mobile phone. He was obviously telling his friends to get to the supermaket to buy the players. I asked him, if all the players were for him and he said yes. I asked if I could have just one and he said no.

But two other men who had overheard our conversation came over and started shouting at him "Why do you need all those dvd players, are you going to sell them?" A Lidl employee who had heard the shouting, came over and told the man, that he could only have one. So the men took the trolley off the guy and took out some dvd players and gave one to me and took one each for themselves! :)

I have seen people selling the old used Betamax(?) video taped on Ebay. The last listing I saw a collection of 600 tapes were being sold. A lot of people would value the music and shows on those tapes.

dachshund I tried googling the Nissan DV098 DivX / DVD Player but I couldn`t find any information or reviews. The same thing happened when i was considering purchasing the Yamada MX-105. It wasn`t until after I had bought that I started finding all the bad reviews. The Nissan may be great player or complete rubbish. If I were you I would buy a player which had been tried and tested by many people. I would get one of the following:

DK Digital 339
Yamada DVX-6700
H&B DX-3255

From stores like www.savastore.com

That is the oddest looking dvd player I have ever seen! :o I`m not sure that I would appreciate the top loading facility! But thanks for the tip, I am sure many will appreciate this. With a 3 year warranty it sounds like a bargin. :)

I bought the Yamada MX-105 a month ago from Ebuyer. Big mistake it was awful, and wouldn`t play a lot of my avis (DivX and XviD) and eventually refused to play any dvds. I returned it this week to ebuyer. At first they said I could only have a direct replacement, but today they have given me a refund. :-)

If you are still looking for a player, I would recommend the DK Digital DVD-339, I have been a proud owner of this player for a year and it is still going strong and plays almost all of the avis that I throw at it. I also bought a H & B 3255 last week and so far it seems to be just as good as my DK Digital DVD-339.

Mine arrived yesterday. it wasn`t sealed as I expected and one of the dvd cases was broken inside. :( So I sent it back today so that they could send me a replacement. Hopefully I will have more luck 2nd time around.
