VCD Hack for Proline 2000
I was wondering if there is a hack to enable VCD`s to be played on the Proline 2000. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Once again their info was duff. Had to phone the Cust. Support line and they told me to take it to the nearest comet workshop(a good few miles away). Once there, however, they upgraded it in no time and now my player plays everything I have.( My problems were with 2 region 4 James Bond films.) It`s worth the hassle I suppose. Have a nice Christmas :)

Went into the shop and they said their Customer Service were talking rubbish. They did however give me the number of their local service desk. The Comet man said I should phone and an engineer would come to the house. We shall see. I`ll let you know. See Ya!
Proline 2000 Firmware Upgrade
I have just received an e-mail back from Comet customer services. They said if I wanted my firmware upgraded, I just had to take my player into my local store and they would carry out the upgrade for me. I`m going in tomorrow so I`ll let you know how I get on.
Where can I get firmware upgrade?
Hi, after reading some postings, it seems that it would be advisable to upgrade my firmware. I have a Proline 2000 running version 3. I would appreciate any advice on how to get an upgrade and how to install it.

Region 4 Disc Problems
I`ve bought a few discs from Oz. Most of them play well but I have had a couple either sticking or not playing the extra features. My player is a Proline 2000 (that probably doesn`t help). Any help would be appreciated.

Region 4 Disc Jamming
I have bought several region 4 discs from ezy and chaos, and up until now I have had no problem. However, recently I received The Living Daylights. It starts ok, going through the intro but then stops at 2 seconds on the counter. Any advice would be appreciated. I have a Proline 2000. Thanks.

I have just purchased a new tv, and I was wondering what is the best set up for that, my dvd player, my sky digital and my video recorder. The tv has 3 scart sockets, one of them euro scart? Any help would be appreciated, Cheers
RE: proline dvd2000 does the hack work
In answer to the first part of your question, yes the hack does work until the power is switched off. But works again no problem when you re-insert the hack.
Proline 2000 Hack
I recently purchased a Proline 2000 and the first thing I did was look for a hack. The one I found at Reviewer works great, but is supposed to be for one disc only. I assumed this meant I would have to punch in the code every time I played a Region 1 disc. However, I have since watched 3 more Region 1 films without re-entering the code. Am I missing something.
