RE: Toshiba HD EP30

Finally received the `programme` from them today but it didn`t work for me either. Waste of time

RE: Toshiba HD EP30

At least you received something from them. I`ve been waiting nearly a week now for the email to arrive with the supposed programme but I`ve got nothing. And I couldn`t find any way to contact them. Sounds like a bit of a con to me

RE: Toshiba HD EP30

Found this site:

http://www.alldvdcodes.com/ssearch.php?npp=20

and tried for the hack yesterday (it`s listed quite a few pages in) but so far haven`t received the email with the programme/ hack in it. It costs a few quid but if it works all well and good. If it does work I`ll let you know. Fingers crossed

RE: Cheapest HD DVDs/ PS3s

Sorry, hadn`t read that bit

Cheapest HD DVDs/ PS3s

Just wondering where/ what sites people are using to buy cheap HD DVDs. And if they use sites around the world, which they find to be the most trustworthy?
Also, anyone found any really good deals on PS3s?

Toshiba HD EP30

I know HD-DVDs are not region protected but does anyone know of any sort of hack to make this tosh region free with regular DVDs?

Thanks for your time

RE: Samsung v5600 vcr/dvd combo

Thanks very much.

I`ll give it try when I`m at home tomorrow and let you know the outcome.

Panasonic DMR-E50

I know it`s an older recorder but with all the developments on the panasonic hacking front, does anyone know a nice easy hack for the above recorder?

Thanks for your time

Samsung v5600 vcr/dvd combo

Anyone know of a multi-region hack for this player?

Would be grateful if anyone does.

Cheers guys x

Panny dmr50

Have had the above recorder for over a month now and i love it. Any ideas on how to copy dvds onto it? Have a chipped sony with macrovision turned off, but the panny still refuses to copy. Any ideas? Also, when i connect a vcr by scart to the composite inputs on the panny there is no signal. Again, any ideas?
Cheers

3 things- R4 dvds; Sony sound; Pioneer hack...

Just wondering if anyone knows of a good r4 supplier, either in oz or `the east` preferably the cheapest, quickest and most reliable.

Also, I have a Sony 325 and the sound output is very quiet, meaning I have to turn the tv right up (a pain in the `arris when u forget at 2 in the morning and u turn back to a normal tv channel... ouch!). I was wondering if anyone knew how 2 adjust the output level?

And finally, any news of a hack for the Pioneer 530 yet?

Cheers
Darrenx

COMET, at last, have seen the light- Proline 2000(R.I.P.) to Pioneer 530

After several letters, e-mails, phone calls and contacting other consumer bodies, Comet have finally agreed to exchange the 2000, or give me a refund. (No, didn`t resort to standing outside, waving a banner guys!) Have swapped it for a Pioneer 530, and, wow, what a difference!
Has anyone got any details about hacking this player, or is it, as I suspect, only hardware hackable?
Again, your help will be much appreciated.
Cheers guys,
Darrenx

RE: SUBMITTED TWICE IN ERROR!!! AGAIN!!!

Cheers guys. I like the idea of the banner.
mmm? Saturday, eh?
Oh well, Here goes nothing!!!

Comet + Proline2000 update... They still won`t listen!!!

A few weeks ago I posted a message about Comet not replacing the above piece of crap, even though it malfunctioned in front of them.
Just to let you know that 2 e-mails and 2 letters later, they have still not replied and they still have the machine.
What does it take to get through to these brain dead, money grabbing, fly- by- night con artistes?
I have now written to my local Trading Standards, "TotalDVD", BBC`s Watchdog, Citizen`s Advice and the Office of Fair Trading. Anybody got an other ideas? I want to make it as high profile as possible!
Cheers for your help,
Darrenx

RE: Proline 2000 and Comet; Watch out!!!

You`re not wrong there. Arseholes, the lot of `em!!!

Proline 2000 and Comet; Watch out!!!

Anyone thinking of buying one of these players from Comet, beware; they don`t like to admit that there is something wrong! Things have been so bad I`ve actually left my machine at the store, and have had to write to Head Office. Watch out for lip-synch (three women behind the returns desk couldn`t see it!); subtitles defaulting to on and discs just stopping!
Never have I been so patronised by people who seem to have no idea!
Comet, Plymouth- Watch out for them!!!

Proline 2000

Anyone else suffering lip- synch probs?
Anyone know of a way to de- activate Macrovision on it?
Any other goodies it provides?
Anyone else actually got one?
