After several letters, e-mails, phone calls and contacting other consumer bodies, Comet have finally agreed to exchange the 2000, or give me a refund. (No, didn`t resort to standing outside, waving a banner guys!) Have swapped it for a Pioneer 530, and, wow, what a difference! Has anyone got any details about hacking this player, or is it, as I suspect, only hardware hackable? Again, your help will be much appreciated. Cheers guys, Darrenx

They are only hardware/firmware upgradable. I got mine from upgradeheaven.co.uk for 179pounds multiregion. Check out their site as they do collection and return service for upgrades.
I agree! After 2 previous players, the 530 is a dream!!! Best thing is that its very very FAST!
