RE: Printing on DVDs

Top work....cheers Stantz!

Printing on DVDs

I`m backing up a couple of my DVDs for use in the car and would like to print on the discs. Rather than go to the hassle of powering up my scanner, does anyone know if there is a site with images on for download?

Cheers!

RE: FREE £5 voucher for CDwow.!!!! Hurry !!!!

Delivery times are always stated in their confirmation emails. Something along the lines of.....Please allow up to 7 days for this item to arrive.

RE: Deal of the day at Virgin

It`s Band of Brothers box set today for £17.99...

RE: HMV - Deal of the Day Promotion

I agree Robert.....RRP £19.99?!! When you click on the item, it comes up as £4.99, reduced to £2.99. Poor effort from hmv this time.

RE: FREE £5 voucher for CDwow.!!!! Hurry !!!!

Worked a treat...many thanks! ;)

Free hair products in-store at Boots

Not a huge money saving deal but if you`re passing a Boots and have an Advantage Card, put it in the automated machines (at big stores) and get a free voucher for a small tube/bottle of hair-care product from Toni&Guy, Trevor Sorbie or someone else (I haven`t got enough hair to be into these things in a big way!). Just take voucher and product to till to get it free.

Bottles are 50 mL and should cost around £1.50 to £2 ish - includes shampoo, fancy conditioners and all that gubbins. The missus liked it anyway.

Stumbled across this in the Leeds store today.

RE: 10-film Disney box set £17.97 at Amazon

You may want to try their little-publicised telephone number: 0800 279 6620. Available Mon to Fri 9 am till 5 pm.

I haven`t used this in over a year but it should still work.

RE: Ebay feedback question

I think the lesson here is only leave feedback once you have checked the goods thoroughly. I agree with mre15 though....report the seller to eBay and they will deal with it. Whenever I have complained, they have always acted quickly. Sorry it doesn`t really answer your original question!

Thanks for the Jessops code though!!

RE: 10% off EVERYTHING at Currys.co.uk

Ah Cutz...you beat me to it.

Just helped the missus order my Xmas pressie.

Don`t forget the 1.5% cash back via rpoints (probably more cashback elsewhere but I`m only registered with rpoints) and also add the following code for free delivery: PRFREEDEL.

RE: King Kong 2 disc special edition - £3.99 @ CDWow...

Received mine also. Top marks to CD-WOW!

RE: HMV 20% off this Friday and Saturday (20/21 Oct 2006) online only

Got Memoirs of a Geisha, Inside Man and Constant Gardener for £4 each and 5% cashback at rpoints. Some good Chrissie presents there then!

Cheers to the OP! :)

RE: King Kong 2 disc special edition - £3.99 @ CDWow...

Just received another email saying DVD despatched. Fingers crossed this time then!

RE: King Kong 2 disc special edition - £3.99 @ CDWow...

Still waiting for mine :( .

It was supposedly despatched on 4 Oct, and they quote a 7-day delivery time. I`ll give `em the benefit of the doubt at the mo.

Anyone else waiting for longer than 1 week?

RE: King Kong 2 disc special edition - £3.99 @ CDWow...

Cheers to the almighty OP!

Had a £1 voucher to redeem by clicking the link in my CD-WOW voucher award email. Added the code from said same email as directed and it knocked £1.50 off. Was dubious at first but it is now despatched.

At £2.49, `tis a bargain indeed! :)

RE: Ex Demo TFT monitor £67 delivered

The link didn`t work but going to the `Clearance Specials` shows the monitors have gone up to £77 incl.delivery. :( . You can get a new one for not much more.....

RE: Broadband usage monitor

Cheers for your help. I have registered with BT broadband and will be installing it next week. In their literature, they mention that they don`t include a meter `for your convenience`! Make of that what you will.......I`ll see if I can set one up though as I`d rather know where I`m up to.

Broadband usage monitor

Hi all

I`m sure I read about a free broadband usage monitor here recently but can`t find it now. Can anyone recommend anything to log the cumulative usage per month so I don`t go over my limit on BT?

Many thanks!

RE: free £8.75 voucher from CDWOW

I also ticked the `no promotional` box and haven`t had any spam/advertising. No £8.75 voucher either yet mind! :(

RE: CHEAP MUSIC DOWNLOADS CHART ALBUMS

allofmp3 also push their browser on you but their help page mentions:

`AllOFMP3 Explorer is a program created by AllOFMP3.com`s team to make your work with the site easier and faster. Of course, you may use AllOFMP3.com`s services as usual, by browsing the site with your favorite Internet browser, but in this case many of AllOFMP3 Explorer`s features will be unavailable to you`.

Has anyone used allofmp3 without their download/browser or know if you can use legalsounds the same way? I`d also be paranoid about installing downloaders from these sites!

RE: Virgin email account on BT broadband query

Cheers for the advice. Although Virgin don`t tie you in, they do reserve the right to charge you £50 if you opt out....which is still better than most providers.

I hadn`t realised BT charge VAT on top of their charges! :o

Looks like I may go for Virgin after all and see how I get on then. Thanks again

Virgin email account on BT broadband query

I have a daft question that requires a simple answer.

I have virgin dial-up at the mo and am likely to change to BT broadband (Option 1; yes I know it`s not the cheapest but I want to keep my BT landline and not get caught between BT and other ISPs if I go for a different broadband and it goes belly-up [I like a simple life!]).

Can I use my existing virgin email address via BT broadband, as I don`t wish to change primary email address? If so, is it a case of simply adding a new account when the broadband is set up and direct it to connect via virgin`s POP3 server?

Many thanks!

RE: Sony KV28HX15 28in Flat Widescreen £199.00 Argos

You`ll be lucky to grab this deal as it looks like another Argos-special that is not available to reserve, have delivered, or indeed buy in store.

Good luck if you go for it and find one though!

RE: 7dayshop.co.uk - Free shipping for a limited time

Great spot...grabbed myself a tripod that`s down to £13.99 since I`ve intended to buy one for some time.

BTW, the site states `SPECIAL OFFER - FREE P&P: Offer ends 31/12/2005 @ 12 noon` and not 2 pm. It looks like the site and their emails don`t tally GMan!

Cheers to the OP*

RE: Should I renew Norton Internet Security?

Quote:
Highly Recommend AVG7 and Zonealarm.

I`ll second that! Both excellent and free products (in their basic form).

RE: Panasonic DVD recorder £129.00 ....P&P £7

Quote:
out of curiosity had a look at it with the richer sounds link, £119 on there, dont know about p&p

says pick up instore only. but i think if you take a printout of the webpage they match it, i did this once before when their webpage had the item cheaper than in their shop.

You`re right about the price matching at Richer Sounds. They`ll match an internet price as long as they can phone to check it`s in stock (although they didn`t bother to phone when they price matched a DVD player I bought a while back). They also then give you some cash back, depending on how much you are paying, at least £10 from what I remember.

RE: 26

Have realised that the delivery charge is discounted at checkout, making it £363 as detailed by OP.

And Rpoints will give 2.5% return so a good deal all-in-all?!

RE: 26

I`m seriously tempted by this one. Can someone summarise the HDTV issues for a non-techy please?! Is it HDTV compliant? Does it have to be considering I`m not interested in Sky? :/

Also, how do you get the free delivery - I can`t seem to get this on the Dell site.

I`m off to have a look at Rpoints to determine level of cashback.......

RE: Tevion 8 In 1 Programmable Remote Control £4.99 Aldi Bargain

Has anyone found any of these in the NE or Yorkshire? I`m struggling to get hold of one. :(

RE: CD`s £2.99 Delivered - Robbie Williams, Travis, Ronan etc

Hey...Peter Andre`s still on at £2.99 though! ;)
