RE: adverts

Yes - I have noticed this and it is getting very annoying - the main problem appears to be with the advert (NiQuitin, was it???) that`s not loading up properly on the right hand side of the page.

RE: Hunt ban upheld by High Court

It doesn`t really matter though, does it - people who say hunting is part of their life are going to carry on doing it anyway - the police have already said they`re not going to try to stop it.

So - what has really been acheived? A law that no-one seems willing to enforce??

RE: Gremlin Graveyard

One of the greatest little grems ever to have done battle. Long may he be remembered.

RE: EU constitution referendum question revealed

Quote:
Should the referendum bill survive its passage through Parliament, the question will be
"Should the United Kingdom approve the treaty establishing a constitution for the European Union?"
I`m sceptical but have not read the proposed constitution and am open to persuasion both ways.

I doubt there are many people who have read the document cover to cover - I downloaded it this morning and it was 329 pages long.

I certainly have no intention of wading through every single word of it.

RE: CHEAP FOOD AND DRINK IN PRAGUE

Quote:
I heard the Mayor of Prague has decided tourists are being ripped off,so has decided to do something about the prices of drink/taxis etc.

Good man !

I found this myself the last couple of years - the places where I went in the centres of Prague and Budapest are practically London prices - but if you take the trouble to walk half a mile out the centre and eat/drink where the locals go, prices are about two thirds cheaper.

Ordered a hard drive from Dabs.com for my Sky+ yesterday and it was delivered today. Top class and that wasn`t even with the next day delivery option.

Never had anything but top class service from DABS...

...just out of interest, what size HDD are you upgrading to? I upgraded to 120 GB about 7 or 8 months ago and it`s working fine at the moment. Was sort of thinking about doing another upgrade though - there are pages on the internet that say they`ve gone up to 250 GB.

What I don`t understand is this: when a woman comes along wearing a low-cut top, exposing a fair amount of cleavage, your average guy can`t help but look, it`s a built in reaction, if only a glance.
BUT if you get caught looking the reaction tends to be along the lines of "F*** off", "Got a good enough view?" or some other negative comment implying you`re a perv. So the question would be if you don`t WANT anyone to look, why show the bloody things in the first place?

Reminds me of a quote from Seinfeld : "Looking at cleavage is like looking at the sun. You don`t stare at it. It`s too risky. You get a sense of it and then you look away. "

RE: New Fight Code

Why not use something like the ELO system that`s been employed in Chess for quite some time. That way - high end grems can only get XP by fighting other high end grems ; if they fight a low end grem and win, they get nothing for doing so.

Confirmed addictee here too, always like to set my new challenges after midnight. Probably come here 3 or 4 times a day.

I have the luxury of working from home and having no boss

You come here 3 or 4 times a day? Why not put on a little dress and do a dance for us - some of us visit three or four times an HOUR ;-)

RE: Gremlin Graveyard

Poor Zaphod passed away this morning - just as I was coming back from the fridge with another cold bottle of beer. However his offspring will be ready to do battle with the sons of Jessie and Whupass next week.

Wanted : Challenges around 230 230 230 ; bring it on!

Young Zaphod has itching fists - he`s not been fighting as much as he would like over the last couple of days ; if you`d like your grem to get a pounding, then he says he`d be happy to oblige.

RE: fight wanted for gremlins around 150, 150, 150

ugh - seven straight losses seem to have beaten some of the swagger out of Zaphod`s walk!

RE: (in a drunken slurred voice) c`mon then...I`ll have yer...

C`mon then Donut - me and u - let`s do this thing.

RE: (in a drunken slurred voice) c`mon then...I`ll have yer...

He heard that! He`s been pumping iron today - that`s besides the point...what he does behind closed doors is really only his own business.

He reckon`s he can have you one at a time or all together, makes no difference to him.

(in a drunken slurred voice) c`mon then...I`ll have yer...

Little Zaphod Beeblebrox hasn`t had a chance to beat the pulp out of anyone for
a few hours - he`s not afraid of the big boys - "the bigger they come, the harder they fall"...

He never was that intelligent. Anyone want to test him?
