Am I the only half-wit who never backs-up his PCs - despite making resolutions to do so regularly?
So much lost - all because I`m either going GaGa, or am just plain idle: any observations, please?
Cheers, Les.

RE: They let these people breed!!!!
Yes, both Cameron and Maude are twats of the highest magnitude, but people have the responsibilty to think for themselves. If Cameron said "put your head in a lighted gas-oven, to keep warm" would we do it? Oh dear, yes - I guess some of us would..................

Typo - meant "your head"

RE: They let these people breed!!!!
So if Maude or Cameron said "put tour head in a lighted gas oven to keep warm" we`d do it?
No, sympathetic that she`s badly burned, but we all need to take some responsibilty for ourselves. I mean, I have wiped my bum for years without a directive on how to do it by government, so people should be able to figure things out for themselves. Many people moan about a nanny state, but then complain when they sheep-like follow instructions and make a pigs ear of it. Duh!

That`s so - I keep a few litres in the shed myself - but I don`t cook chips on a camping stove in said shed at the same time.
Petrol indoors? How could anyone think of doing such a thing - if only because of the bloody smell.

RE: Clarkston rants on `one show` about strikers !
It wasn`t a joke - although subsequently described as one: the man`s an arsehole - even if he entertains lots of lads/good eggs. Do I think he should get the sack? Not necessarily, but he should be put on some sort of censure so that his twattiness is limited in the future. H e is what he is - a right-wing bigot that appeals to the lowest level.
As an aside - take away the "striker" comments. What about the suicide one?
Ah, of course you`d have sod all sympathy with any train driver: "f**k `em - if they can`t stand the odd suicide under their wheels now and again, then they should get a real blokes job if they`re such sissies". Pathetic nonsense from a buffoon second only to Boris Johnson.

Glad I`ve kept at least one of the lads/good eggs happy!

A poster who`s a "Ballbrain of the first magnitude"!
Regarding some of the other posts: I wonder if many of the posters are so gormless as to be taken in by the "it`s only a joke - don`t you get it?" ploy.
Without doubt this was a cynical delivery by Clarkson to say his true feelings, but in the certain belief that he could get away with it because "it`s obviously just a bit of fun".
Do I think he was literally advocating shooting strikers and their families? Of course I don`t but, do I think it was a snide jibe at a section of the community that he berates so often? Yes I do.
If a similar comment was made by any prominent trade unionist, the there would be so much outcry from the "poor" rich right-wingers, that it would feed the Daily Mail and other such tripe, for days: that`s the truth of the matter - despite the "get a grip" brigade`s comments.
I despair that so many of the public are gullible enough to be taken in by the "it`s only a joke"!
Clarkson`s a past-master at the snide comment delivery, and it beggars belief that so many of you think he`s just one of the lads/a good egg, even if a bit boorish.

Funnily enough, I was thinking the same - along with Tupac........

Hmm, not sure why you`d make such a claim about Maxell products.
I`ve bought/used in excess of 500 DVD-R & DVD+R discs - bought from Play and DVD-UK, and reckon I`ve had about half a dozen failures: this is on PC/Liteone/Panasonic recorders. I`d recommend them with no reservations.
Perhaps you could tell us what your problem is exactly?
Were you perhaps assaulted by a Maxell disc in your youth?
Cheers, Les.
RE: Tom Tom gone gone
Hi, There are so many coming from Hong Kong now, that are 5" and more.
Despite what some people might say about oriental c**p, I have had one for some months now - 2009 maps/mp3/mp4 complete with mount etc and all for less than £40.00.
Build quality is good, and customer service was excellent.
I think that the major Satnav makers have had their day now, with their inflated prices and ****-poor support.
I recommend wireless.expert or ego2010 on eBay.
Just expressing an opinion, and not on commission - honest!
Hope this helps. Cheers, Les.
RE: MICO Espejo R311. DVD Recorder. I have one. First thoughts.Compatability
LesR,
My MICO works well with various brands of media.
It is happy with:-
NEO
ARITA (red label) this disc will NOT work with my Philips 890 - God knows why, even tho` I`ve done the firmware upgrade (Philips provided me with a CD upgrade)
TRAXDATA
My PHILIPS 890 works with:-
NEO
TRAXDATA
VERBATIM
PHILIPS (should do I suppose, really)
DATAWRITE (DVD+R & RWs)
I`ve yet to try the LITEON multi (DVD+,DVD-,CD)
Hope this is of some use to you - or anyone with compatabilty issues.
All the best.
Les
