Samsung 709 + Chicken Run R2

My brother got this disk last week, but it will not play on his Samsung. The picture breaks up (becomes blocky) and the sound cuts out. It`s not the disk, as it plays fine on my Cyberhome. Anyone else have this problem?

I`ve got mine attached to a 5.1 amp, and the sound is great. This model does not have DTS. Also I too get the problem with subtitles sometimes being on for certain titles, Gladiator R2 and X-men being the latest two I tried. I`ll have to make a note to see which titles are affected to see if there is a pattern.

I bought one of these on Friday, and have no complaints. I have 100+ DVDs (Region 1 + 2), and none have failed so far! When putting the region hack in, there is an option at the bottom of the screen for `more`. On selecting this you are given a single option for macrovision. I have not tried entering any codes, as my player is not hooked up to the VCR, but I hope this helps someone
