Which Dvd player to choose?

I am finding out some info for a workmate
He is looking for a decent dvd player for under £100.
He has given me a shortlist to put on her and get your expert advice. ;)

I rekon half of what happens on Ebay is just one big wind up, Come on seriously can you imagine anyone wanting to part with £13000 big ones for a wedding dress.

I have just remembered one other thing i did when i was young, Climbed into my neighbours garden and caught one of his goldfish and put it in my toy gun between the hammer and the back of the gun and fired it ...LOADS.

Oh and another time when i was 9 we got fostered to a family and i killed there goose and blamed the dog for it and they got rid of the dog... :/ :(

When i was 7 i was caught shoplifting in germany, dad was in the army and i got a right seeing to.

trying to set light to cars petrol tanks at the age of 8 by stuffing dried flowers and paper in the filling nozzel and lighting it, not very successfull according to my gran.

robbing money from peoples houses (from there piggy bank bottles etc) at the age of 8

robbing the local pub of its darts and crisps nuts etc plus bottles of stuff aged 8

underage drinking.(everyone is guilty i think)

shoplifting from gateways and getting banned.

driving without insurance and tax on a motorbike (50cc) with a pillion without a crash helmet.(got caught)

driving cars without a full licence and no one beside me.no L plates no tax no insurance.got away with it all the time.

taking loads of assorted drugs......not hard stuff . Had loads of fun though..

driving while tripping on acid .... :/ (nightmare, couldnt decide which way to go at junctions..)

got done for criminal damage on my X girlfriends house (partly her to blame for winding me up over my daughter)

but recently i have been a good boy......of sorts , nothing like i used to be...lol

Looking at my list i think i need to go and lie down for a while.... :/ :o

we have just had a back boiler and new baxi inset bb super put in , heating system updated to fully pumped (gravity feed b4) and it has cost us £2996.00.
We had quotes for a combi boiler and update the system and they were coming in around £1800.
Hopefully this gives you an idea on how much you may be looking at.
Just do what we did , ring around and get loads of quotes from companies, they are free after all.

Mothercare do one for £30 . Its up to 2 year olds.Stand alone so you can put em in and out with no help from a third party.Basic model really but good. Here.

They also do another one which is a super duper model with added extras , Its £60 and it is up to 3 year olds. I am sure its stand alone too , we are going to get one of them but they are difficult to get at the moment , All mothercares are out of stock in kent so having to wait.
Not found the link for this one , But it is in there catalogue.

strange happenings with my dvd players...

Ok here is one for you.
I have got a Ventura dvd player and a technika 1020 .I played looney toons back in action on the ventura and it played in widescreen and started to jump half way through the film , so i changed players and popped it in my technika, It played fine BUT it played in full screen (slightly stretched) but didnt jump it was fine.
Anyone know why this happens?
I also play films in my playstation 2 and they are supposed to be widescrren and they play in full screen.
Weird................Any suggestions welcomed.

I feel for you , i really do , .We had problems when we sold our house and was buying one.They pulled out at the last minute and we were left high and dry.Luckily the person buying our house was prepared to wait untill we found another property.
BUT the good thing that came out of it was the fact we found another house that was much bigger and the garden is huge with lovely veiws over dover.The house is much better than the one we were going to buy and you could say it was a blessing in disguise.
Chin up have a look round and the same might happen to you.
We bought our house in the beggining of december 2003 and we had it valued the other day (had a fair bit of work done in the house as well) and they valued it at 32 grand higher than we bought it...!!!!! WOW.
EDIT.. the house we bought was for the same price too. Bonus

Went down the local o2 shop, and they told me i had to wait 48 hours from when i got the settings sent to my phone..THEY NEVER BLOODY TOLD ME THAT YESTERDAY.... could have saved me a wasted journey down the town...idiots. >:(

trouble enabeling GPRS/WAP on nokia 3100 (o2) pay as go......

I am trying to get my nokia 3100 wap/gprs enabled so i can download stuff etc.
Iwent into my local o2 shop and asked them and there connection was down so i had to come home and get the details from there site sent to my phone , but it just isnt working.
Has anyone else had this problem with there 3100 ?
Help please....... :(

I did a re-format and re-installed everything a while back and forgot i had some photo`s of my sons birth on the hard drive.I was gutted, I searched high and low for a recovery prog to get the pics back and found one called digital pic recovery , tried the demo and it found the pics, paid my money for the full version so i could save the recovered files and was well happy, so there is hope for you yet...
All you have to do is find the correct progs for the type of files you want to recover.

Thanks everyone for there help.
I am using Neodvd to put my vcd`s onto dvd , It works a charm. I get chapters etc, (still playing with it)(the prog..!!) so will find out loads more as time goes on , but for now i am happy because i can put my vcd`s onto dvd, with cases and no bother with two discs.
HOORAY.
I recommend neodvd to anyone else in my situation , its really easy to use, if i can do it anyone can..lol

RE: Sound proofing in a flat.

Why not try egg boxes. They are supposed to be a good sound proofing ,something to do with the shape of them, Give it a go just save your egg boxes , and get others to save theres for you too, Cheap and easy to do...... :D

EDIT... and to tidy up the finished product just make a wooden frame to go round them.

I am trying neoDVD at the moment , it seems to be encoding OK so far , i wont know how it has got on untill tomorrow now as i have work tonight, but i am crossing my fingers . I just so want to get my vcd`s onto a dvd disc so it tidies up my discs.
