Page 1 of strange happenings with my dvd players...

Ok here is one for you.
I have got a Ventura dvd player and a technika 1020 .I played looney toons back in action on the ventura and it played in widescreen and started to jump half way through the film , so i changed players and popped it in my technika, It played fine BUT it played in full screen (slightly stretched) but didnt jump it was fine.
Anyone know why this happens?
I also play films in my playstation 2 and they are supposed to be widescrren and they play in full screen.
Weird................Any suggestions welcomed.

Tried fiddling with the set up options on the players? Mine has something to set the widescreen ratio I think.
