Page 1 of richard prior and gene wilder film??

does anyone remember a film with gene wilder and richard pryer were gene kept trying to kill himself and rich was trying to help. i think they were in a mental hospitaL or something. I remember at the end he swam out to sea to drown then ended up swimming back.

Anyone know of this film.?

I think you are on to a winner there elaurens, Like i said i am trying to findout for someone and they told me it was pryor and wilder, but the did watch it a while back..
