Cheers for the ZIP Admars. You`re a STAR. And TOTALLY agree with your comments about the game playing the same on XBOX. All these people rushing out to buy a graphics card just so their PC can handle the game with more FPS is CRAZY!

Where have the days gone, when people cared more about how a game PLAYED, than how it looked????????

Totally AGREE with you Elephant Stone. The WWE coming to Manchester is the best thing since Sony Announced it was going into the Video games market to DISECT BOTH SEGA & NINTENDO :D

Oh and GLAD to see the WWE prefer *MANCHESTER* over *LONDON* for their TV broadcasts. I can already hear all you Londoners crying already (laughing).

Anyway how the hell are you doing? You`ve been in the Land of the Rising Sun for 7 months now and all you`ve got to say is how SLOW your BROADBAND connection is! Frankly my 14kbps modem would do you just fine ;) I`ll send it 3rd CLASS pronto 8)

Elephant Stone is in Amsterdam watching Holland and eating plently of leaves, or should that be smoking them (laughing).

I`ve just stopped crying after watching Italy v Sweden. Italy had almost won it until those DAM SWEDES came up and scored in the final minutes >:( Let just say, beer was spilled.

Anyway feel free to VENT your frustrations on us all and a HARTY WELCOME BACK.

Glad to hear you guys replying quickly.

It`s wierd that ITV on SKY is having all these problems. You`d think they`d either inform viewers watching on SKY to appologise for the faults and say they`re at least working on it. Or SWITCH that DAM PRESS-THE-RED-BUTTON thingy OFF, which is probably causing all the problems (oh and don`t forget BIG RON :D )

Anyway I don`t have an Ariel in my house so it`s JERKY EURO 2004 for me. Hope the final dosen`t go to pentalies or it`ll be shown on a slide-by-slide basis!

DAM YOU ITV!!!

Is it me or is ITV`s picture of the England v France game & Sweden v Bulgaria game on SKY all messed up (annoyed) >:( It seem`s that every minute or so the picture either

(A) Gets all blocky
(B) Pauses for about 5 seconds
(C) or cuts out totally.

I`ve watched the game at my parents who have SKY, and on my SKY box at home, and its the SAME!. Tell me I`m not the only one??? Funny thing is, when you watch it through the normal ariel, the pictures better and no faults!

Dam you ITV, and DAM you SKY :)

P.S. Bet it`s BIG RON playing with the signal (laughing)

DIE HARD Roby`s Fans from Manchester

Hi Guys.

Just came back from Genoa earlier today, after flying out on Wednesday morning to watch Roby`s last game for Italy (flew from Stanstead).

We arrived in Genoa early in the afternoon and made it to the stadium around 1pm. There were a few ticket touts around but we checked out the stadium before hand (very cool, although a little too ORANGE for my liking).

Anyway we got speaking to a few touts and eventually bought 3 tickets. Face value 11 EUROS, we paid 80 EUROS! (about £50, but so what it`s Baggios last game!

Spent the wrest of the afternoon walking around the Beautiful city and seeing the sights. My-oh-my what an incredible looking city it is, and the women aren`t bad looking either.

After several bottles of ICE *COLD* becks and a few pizzas we walked back to the stadium. The atmosphere outside the ground was very friendly and Baggio shirts were everywhere to be seen.

Entered the ground and it took a while to find our seats, as the stadium was so badly organised hardly anyone knew where they were going.

Anyway got to our seats and MAN oh MAN what seats they were. Right in the middle at the front of the second tear. JACKPOT BABY!

Sat back and paid homage to the greatest ever-ITALIAN player for the next 90 mins. Baggio had a good game and it was nice to see the team play to his strengths. Raul`s embrace at the start of the match with Roby was good to see and touching that such a talent like Raul, recognises Baggio for all his achievements (sniff tear).

The ovation Baggio received when substituted was very emotional and I`ll admit, I did cry (sniff.. tear..) From here on the chants of "Roberto-Baggio...Roberto-Baggio" could be heard for ages.

The game was over. We all felt like we`d seen a fitting end if that`s what it`s gonna be to Baggio`s International career.

A funny note after the match was when 4 Spanish girls who were sitting close to us, said that Baggio was too old as a joke to an older Italian man. Well he kinda FLIPPED and started having a go at her in a nice way. I think she got his message (laughing).

Walked back into Genoa`s main square and tried to get a few drinks and something to eat but everywhere seemed closed :( Thank god for the mini-bar ;)

If this is Baggio`s last game then I take my hat off to the legend. Baggio you are the GREATEST to ALL of us and we will always hold you DEEP in our hearts and minds whenever we watch our beloved Italy play. Thanks for the BEAUTIFUL memories.

P.S. On the flight back I was sat next to Graham Poll (the referee from the match!). He seemed like a nice man and was very chatty. Got a photo taken with him, which was kinda funny.

Increase your *GAIN*

Just been told by my boss that recently he`s been having slow
internet connection speeds. He only gets a 28Kbps connection on a 56K Modem :`)

He was told by his ISP to call BT and have his GAIN increased from the Default
of 3 to 5 (6 is the highest, but can cause interferance problems). BT upped his GAIN to 5 and within an hour he was experiencing 44Kbps connection speeds!

I have done the same and witnessed a similar GAIN (No *PUN* intended, he he).

Follow these simple steps;

1. Call 151 from your BT phone
2. Tell BT that your ISP has recommended that you have your
GAIN increased from 3 to 5 (This is totally free of charge!)
3. They can inform you by text message when it has been increased.
4. Sit back and enjoy your increased BANDWIDTH ;-)

Lets see if anyone can beat an increase of 16Kbps.

Who the hell is this "Master Bruce" and why does he HATE casual gamers soo much?

Personally I consider myself a casual gamer. I own a PC (yeah its state of the art, GF4 etc..), a Gamecube & PS2. I usually buy around 1 game a month which I usually make sure is worth the money.

Now I always make sure that when I buy a game I consider the facts;

1) Gameplay
2) Story

&

3) **VERY IMPORTANT** How long the thing is gonna take to complete

Now this Master Bruce seems to suggest that ALL casual gamers take point 3 very seriously and only go for games that can be completed very quickly or don`t take any effort at all!

Well if thats what he calls a "CASUAL GAMER" then hes WRONG! Casual gamers are very selective with their purchases. They consider all of the above points and will ONLY play games that they can comfortably manage to complete within a reasonable timescale, *AND* enjoy doing so.

If thats a casual gamer then thats me and about 10million other gamers! I think Master Bruce must be a very SAD *NERD* who seems to want to only play Final Fantasy games that take over your life and virtually *KILL* any social life he has :-)

Come on Casual Gamers, let us tell that "Master Bruce" just what we think of his 3rd World views!

This is getting STUPID! Does EVERY XBOX Live gamer;

1st - Switch on their PC,
2nd - Switch on their XBOX
3rd - Fire up XBOX Live

This means that in order to play XBOX live you need 2, YES *2* machine s turned on. How *PATHETIC*. And this Router, Ethernet mumbo jumbo is hardly your PLUG & PLAY which is what XBOX Live I thought was all about.

SONY Would NEVER do anything like this. Maybe SONY was RIGHT to wait a little longer.

XBOX Live - Whats the COST?

Good to hear Microsoft`s XBOX Live is doing very well. Its a SOLID machine and the 1st batch of games on-line seem very cool. Thing is I`m not the most technical bod in the universe and after looking on XBOX`s official website it sounds tricky to actually get the thing on line.

I`ve got a BTOpenworld Broadband connection but I won`t be playing my XBOX next to my PC, and THIS is where the problem lies. Their official website says they recommend some THOMPSON ADSL Router, but its *AHEM* £99! WTF!

ADSL Router - £99.99 + XBOX Live Starter Pack £39.99 = £140(give or take a penny)! Holy ****

How can MICROSOFT EXPECT people to shell out almost £100 for a ROUTER, and *THEN* another £40 for the starter pack? And whats the point of having a STARTER PACK when you *NEED* a Router if you`re not playing it through the PC.

What happened to "XBOX - Broadband ENABLED!"

Anyone got XBOX Live & does it ROCK?

I`m a PS2 owner but have to admit that XBOX Live looks COOL.

Anyway there`s hardly been a whisper about it in the press or on the TV and I was wondering what its actually like? Come on XBOX Live gamers!
Will it be around in 12 months time (he he)

All the above Games Consoles (and PC Card) could BLOW the PANTS off any games console from the past 10 yr`s, BUT do they REALLY offer anything NEW. You look around at how many video games are released on all formats and begin to think, when did it become so STALE?

Don`t get me wrong, I still play the odd video game that really kicks ass and makes you go "COOL, Now this is new", but most of the time its just re-hashed Platform game after FPS, after Sports game etc...

Maybe Videogames are going through a transitional period where the producers don`t know what the public want and are just churning out garbage after garbage hoping to sprout a golden nugget? Who knows.

Hopefully VIDEOGAMES do get better but I fear the worse. Yeah there may be gamers out there who think GRAPHICS are EVERYTHING and that`s very sad. All I have to say is enjoy your PS3, XBOX2 and Geforce 12, just don`t expect anything you`ve not played before. ;-)
