RE: PDA - Sat. Nav.

I phoned Dell today and the bloke told me that the 312MHz processor and 32MB SDRAM would not be sufficient for Sat Nav.

I`m confused.

Was he just trying to sell me something dearer?

RE: PDA - Sat. Nav.

Is the spec. of the Axim ok though?

PDA - Sat. Nav.

I`m lookng for a suitable PDA, mainly for Sat Nav but don`t want to pay a fortune.
I`ve come across this from Dell for £152,
I`m not too bothered about bluetooth, but will the 312MHz processor and 32MB SDRAM be up to the job?

RE: Where Can I Buy SKY+ ?

The job is now completed, it was an absolute doddle.

If you can hold a screwdriver and fit a connector to the end of co-ax cable you won`t have a problem.

Cost involved,

SKY+ box - £179
Installation kit - £10 (both from http://www.satellitecentre.co.uk/) with free delivery.
Self amalgamating tape - £4.99 (from B & Q)

Also tidied up the cable that SKY installed originally.

RE: Buying an i-pod from america

I was going to ask a similar question regarding a HP Ipaq handheld. I`m going to America soon and thought I might get one over there as they are quite a bit cheaper.
Would there be any problems?

RE: Where Can I Buy SKY+ ?

I`ve ordered it now for £179 + £10 for an installation kit (cable, connectors etc.). Also free next day delivery. Better than £260 and waiting 3 to 4 weeks from SKY.

Sounds a piece of cake (famous last words)

I`ll let you know.

RE: Where Can I Buy SKY+ ?

I have seen SKY + advertised and the quad LNB is included with the box. I already have SKY so isn`t it a case of just swapping the LNB, running another cable from the dish and swapping the box?

Where Can I Buy SKY+ ?

I`m looking to buy SKY+ but loathe to pay another £60 to SKY to come and install it. It sounds simple enough to do but can anyone please point me in the direction of somewhere I can buy the SKY+ box from?

RE: £25 off any £25 or over DVD order @ tesco.com

I am registered with Tesco.com. Where can you get the voucher from?

RE: Criterion Collection Sale at CD-Wow.

Using the AV Forums method,I received the Coldplay live DVD/CD this morning.

Cost £8.49 ;)

RE: Reduce your Sky package cost!

Do you lose the Disney channels if you are changing from the full package?

RE: Dishwasher Help

The little plastic fan on the end of the pump had broken. Tried to get one in Sheffield, no luck and was told I would have to buy a complete pump (£169 + VAT).

Phoned the manufacturers and they`re sending me a replacement fan for £10.52 (inc. VAT & delivery) :)

Dishwasher Help

Strange request I know but can anybody tell me why our dishwasher isn`t getting water in from the top of the machine.
The filter is on the incoming water pipe is ok and water is coming in from the bottom.
I don`t want to get someone out to charge me £70+ for a minor fault.
Help please.

RE: Still no luck

This also works on Bush DVD141TV.
Same machine I suppose.

Processor Upgrade ?

I bought my PC from Mesh about 3 years ago. It`s a Duron 850 with 256 MB of RAM and it`s OK.
But I would like to upgrade to an Athlon processor. Can I do this with the same motherboard (ASUS A7V-E) and how much is this likely to cost ?
Also, where is a good place to get the gear from ?

Thanks for any help.

RE: Any1 know where to get free polyphonic ringtones from?

It`s not free but it`s only the price of a text.

RE: Danny Baker!

Danny Bakers Saturday morning radio show was the best thing on radio by a mile.
That programme is sadly missed.
I think he was thrown off BBC radio after telling listeners to go round to referee Mike Reads house after a (very) dodgy penalty decision.
Quality broadcaster.

Chipped PS2

Best place to purchase a chipped PS2 please.

RE: INCD on XP

What do you use now Jim ?

INCD on XP

Recently upgraded to XP and now INCD won`t work. Is there any simple way around this.
Cheers.

Multi- Region DVD On PC

Can anyone please explain in an easy-to-understand way what exactly I need to do to make my Pioneer 116 DVD ROM multi-region.
Thanks in advance. :)

RE: Martin Keown - wot a t*@t...

RE: Going Broadband! What`s the best deal?

I`m on Freeserve and had no problems. In PC World today I noticed the offer is free modem, connection + your first 2 months free as well ( then £27.99)
