Thanks for the info on ifoedit, it was as you described and using this tool I was able to get the file to play in WS, thanks again

I just re-read my post and it wasn`t worded very well, the recording is in wide screen and plays back in WS in both the recorder and LG Player so no problem there but it is on the computer where it only plays in 4:3, in Nero Show Time I can force the ratio to 16:9 which looks fine but if I want to encode to .avi then it is back to 4:3.

DVD Playback Ratio Problem
Hi, when I record onto DVD-RW on my Samsung HR725 DVD recorder and then play the DVD in my LG player the screen aspect ratio is in wide screen but when I play the DVD on my computer in WMP or Nero Show Time it will only play at 4:3 ratio and if I try and rip it to avi it also is 4:3, anyone know why this is? do other recorders also do this?

Virgin Recon Mobile??
Just wondered if anyone has bought a Virgin recoditioned mobile from their site? it says they are usuelly no more then 1 month old, fully reconditioned and 6 month warrenty, I thought they would be a good buy as a back up or if your hard up:) it also mentions £10 off if you already have a Virgin account, prices vary but £20 starting prices and less if you keep checking now and again.

You also don`t have to use the docking station, you can connect the iPod with just the firewire cable. I am under the impression that it takes longer to charge via the computer, the adaptor is faster, does anyone else find this or is it just me?

Thought someone may have already seen this offer in todays Sun newspaper, £16.99 for each series of 24, I couldn`t find it any cheaper online, that price also includes postage.

7p is a good price but both Asda and Boots do 6x4 for 5p when ordering 50 or more prints, I have tried both and they are excellant, I would choose Boots over Asda because with Asda for some perculiar reason you have to have exactly 50 prints, any over would be charged at normal rate, this isn`t the case at Boots, also if you want more then 1 copy of a print I just rename it slighty, this gives you as many copies as you like.

4KUS from Asda problem
Hi, just bought the 4kus DVR-230 and had a play with it, using the DVD+RW supplied I made several recordings which playback fine on the 4kus but I cannot get them to playback on my Micro Celo 80 , I see the thumbnails but cannot navigate to them, anyone else had this problem, it`s not much use if I cannot play them back on other DVD players.

I have now just got a email from Woolies asking for further verification of my security details, well I guess it is a good idea for online shops to check for fraud but I had ordered some stuff only 2 weeks before using the same credit card and address, still it did say my mobiles would be `released` after this confirmation.

Have to say DVD Soon are cheap due to I guess a good exchange rate but are we still limited to £18 when ordering from the USA and Canada? I ordered some CD`s a couple of years back from the USA and it came to just over £18 and customs hammered me for tax and holding fee`s or something like that, I would like to know what the low down is on this if anyone knows.

thanks for the info, my main problem with a Pana is that I can`t record to a RW to give to a friend to watch, I didn`t want to record to a once only DVD-R and the RAM DVD won`t play on most DVD Players, shame really because as you say it`s a fine machine.

Philips 610 DVD Recorder now £199.99 at Argos
Haven`t been able to find the Philips 610 DVD recorder at a Sainsbury near me with there £99.99 offer but Argos have just knocked £100 off their price so it`s now at £199.99, is it a good buy?, seems to me the DVDR70 gets less problems reported by owners.
