RE: DESPERATE! Failed Hack on AIWA XD-DW1 HC (region 6)

I have a Region 6 Unit, and tried the hack. It works, but does not play RCE disks at all.
The hack can be found at http://www.vcdhelp.com
Sorry... I`m just too lazy to cut and paste.
Follow the "DVD Hacks" (Standalone DVD) link.

if you have any luck in getting the hack to work, please test an RCE disk.

RE: Multi-Region PC???

In order to make your drive region free, go to:
http://perso.club-internet.fr/farzeno/firmware/
The page contains region-free firmwares for lots of different drives.

RE: Aiwa XD-DW 1 - Please help !!

Cool! Glad to be of help.

One question though, when you did the hack, did anything appear on screen to confirm that it had worked?

RE: Aiwa XD-DW1 (Portable DVD) RCE Compatibility?

The remote hack can be found on the following web page:
http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayershack.php?select=Aiwa%20XD-DW1%20Portable

My Aiwa XD-DW1 Portable player was a Region 6 unit purchased abroad. The shop kindly disabled the Region protection for me using:

STOP 87207 >>
(That was what was written on the note I was given by the shop. I have not actually used the codes posted on the web page, so I cannot confirm if they work or not!)

Can you confirm if the AIWA model is RCE compatible?

Aiwa XD-DW1 (Portable DVD) RCE Compatibility?

Hello!

Does anybody know if the Aiwa XD-DW1 portable DVD player is compatible with RCE disks when it is set to Multi-Region via the remote control hack?

Thanks

Aiwa XD-DW1 (Portable DVD Player) hacks / Macrovision hack

Hi All!
I have an Aiwa XD-DW1 portable DVD player (Region 6) set to Multi-Region by a remote control hack.

Does anybody have any other information about this player?
(Other hacks, secret menus etc?)

A way of turning off Macrovision is desireable.

Thanks

RE: PANASONIC DVD-LV70 PORTABLE

I have no hack available, but there should be one out there.
I have seen this DVD Player in Hong Kong for sale as a Multi-Region player. The players in the shops are usually remote hackable, and if you asked the shop, they would give you the code!

Aiwa XD-DW1 Macrovision Removal

Hi! I have purchased an Aiwa XD-DW1 (Region 6) and have used the remote hack to make it region-free.
Is there a hack which removes the Macrovision from this player?

Thanks!

RE: Aiwa XD-DW 1 - Please help !!

I have found the following hack on: http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayershack.php?select=Aiwa%20XD-DW1%20Portable

I have not tried it on my Region 6 (set to Multi-region) Aiwa XD-DW1 drive.
If it works, please post a reply here.

Also, please post if there is a Macrovision removal code for this Player.

---------
Region hack if the player is Region 1, bought in USA:

1) Turn on player
2) Insert any disc
3) Open lid , take out disc and close lid
4) Immediately press [Stop], wait few seconds
5) Press 8,7,1,0 and then >> on remote
6) The player should be region free now!

(PS: I only tried this on my region 6 player bought from Hong Kong)

Also, use:
8,7,1,0,1 to set to region 1
8,7,1,0,2 to set to region 2
etc...
This is needed to watch RCE discs

PROLINE DVD1000 Hack: Is multi-region feature future proof or Region 0?

I have purchased a Proline DVD1000 player yesterday and the multi-region hack from the remote works fine.
I was wondering, is the hack just putting the player into
"Region 0" mode, allowing all disks to play?, or is it much "better" than that?

Are there any problems with any region 1 titles on this player?

Thanks
