alba 104 from woollies
my m8 has just got a alba 104 from woolies £149.00 pounds yesterday.
scart socket multi region stright out of the box and he tried my hollow man and it plays stright away no changing any thing
seems a good player.
tried all the old problem discs that played up on the 103 and they all work great.

the cyber home plays rce discs by just changing region to 1 in menu.
tried hollow man works fine and just to test changed reg 40 times and ot did not stick,p.s. i think the laser is a hp pc dvd rom.

i have one after two crud sammy 709,s ot plays every disc no probs but i di get subtitles come every now and again ,antbody else,i also have the web site with the latest firmwhere updates.
truly a great budget player,all discs cdrw ect it plays.
has anyone tried the s-video lead any better picthure.

can anyone help me i would like to know if there is a code to dissable macrovision on this player.yours psx

i have one after two crud sammy 709,s and it plays every disc including all the problem ones .have yet to try the s-video to scart option ,but it also plays vcd,s and re-writable discs with no problem at all.it is multi-region but i have still to figuire out if it dissables macrovision.for the money it must be the best budget player around as it is truly a budget player(i.e. for the money i mean)what more could you expect. yours psx.

thanks dockarl for your help as i am having a 511 in two weeks and already have a 709 ,but it is playing up freezing on discs reg 1and 2 then you stop and play again and it is fine could it be overheating or could it be the laser any help please yours psx.

i have a one for all remote model number urc-5550 with liquid crystal display how do hack 511 with it and is it the same as you do the 709 and is it permanent yours psx.
