Tesco - Very cheap DVD-R s

Many Tescos are selling their homebrew DVD-Rs for 10p per pack of three.
These are the value range in the white 3pk packets which were £1 each.

Just picked up 30 packs (90 disks) for £3.

They are also selling other brick a brack for 10p, but now`t worth mentioning here.

RE: Cheap DVD Imports - Pound Vs. Dollar

Ditto on the Nationwide credit card.

Just come back from the states, not charged a penny (or should that be cent?).

Make sure you pay your balance off each month though as it is not the cheapest card regards APR.

RE: Linksys Wireless-G (WRT54GX) MIMO router bargain

Called in Staples today (17th May), and they had two left on the shelf.

Works a treat.

Linksys Wireless-G (WRT54GX) MIMO router bargain

Just picked this up in Staples Cardiff Bay for £48.99.

Ebuyer price £147 + p+p

Several marked up as "end of line" ?????

RE: Cheap 30" LCD TV @ Staples

Yes this is quite correct, there was no mention of only display stock left though.

A mate went back down there today and bought the display model I saw.
He also managed to get another 10% off, so £450 for a 30" LCD TV.

Lucky bugger !

RE: Couple of Sat Nav PDAs

"Close to the edge"

My phone was bought on "3", but other contracts are out there.

I hope "Searcher" has answered the rest of your questions.

Scramble.

RE: Couple of Sat Nav PDAs

Guys, here is an idea for an even cheaper Sat Nav.

1. Go get yourself a contract Nokia 6630 or 6680, available for around £10 ish a month
with the funky cashback deals (Carphone Warehouse springs to mind).
You get 500mins X network talk & 100 texts. See resit muttons site for even better deals.

2. Buy a Bluetooth GPS - Like the 16 channel units sold on ebay (search for " gps 6630"). They are only the size of a matchbox and wireless ! These are better than the 8 channel unit built into the lower end TOMTOM.

3. Buy a 256Mb memory card for said phone (make sure its a dual voltage variety)
for about £25.

4. Install TOMTOM 5 mobile , cost about £180ish or available "ahem", free on the net.

You will have a phone with loads of minutes and a top notch navigation system.
I have just done this and I have been astounded by how accurate and useful it is.
It works really really well with the Nokia 6630.

Just an idea.......... :B

Cheap 30" LCD TV @ Staples

Model V7 LTV 30C

Staples Cardiff are doing the 30" Videoseven LCD TV for £499 inc.

By contrast EBUYER charge £595 for this model.

Cheap or what !

RE: First Direct...... £30

Must also add my 2p worth.

I have been with FD for 2.5 years and have found them to be the best bank I have ever had. You get no crap from them, they answer the phones on time and have a very good mortgage rate.

First Class.

RE: Samsung X460 £59.99 with £15.00 talk time

Very good spot. Some very good bargains to be had here.

I just got a Motorola V220 for £49.99, plus I got £15 worth of calls.

Just bought another one for a friend and they also gave me an extra £10 worth of calls.

RE: Nice TV for the bedroom - Asda

I bought one of these just before Xmas for £89 at ASDA.

I`m very pleased with it so far, it even has a wideband tuner which is ideal for picking up analogue NTL.

RE: Lidl

Pesi is Pesi is Pepsi ?

Is there a difference to the German stuff?

Tastes the same to me.

Anyway, for the equivalent of 11.385p per can, I`d probably drink weed killer too. :)

RE: Pepsi Cans x 24 (Case) £4.98 @ Asda!!!!!!!

Lidl are doing 2Ltr bottles of Pepsi (and diet) for 69p.

Works out at WAY less than 12p a can ! (Assuming 6 cans per bottle.)

RE: RELISYS DVD Recorder for £89 @ STAPLES

Dean,

I`ve been using packard bell +RW, the cheapest ones I could find in PC world.

Have had no problems whatsoever.

RE: RELISYS DVD Recorder for £89 @ STAPLES

Been playing with this for a few days now, and it is a cracking bit of kit.

Checkout the review on area450.com , then grab one while you can.

These are selling for a minimum of £140 elsewhere !

RE: Cheap USB Pen Drives

I think www.ebuyer.com are cheaper still.

About £17 for a 256Mb pen drive. :/

Very cheap Mini USB webcam

My turn to repay the many bargains I have had from this site .....

ASDA are selling a "USB LAPTOP MINI CAMERA" for £3.74 !

Stated resolution of 640 X 480 and 30fps, I`m dubious about that though.
It is about the size of a 50p and needs no power supply.
It comes with some good capture software and motion detection / timelapse software.
Even has a nice blue LED on the front to show it is switched on.

And yes, it does work OK on a PC.

Every bit of kit I have branded "Samsung" is top notch.

I have a monitor, TV, DECT Phone and DVD player.

Even their components such as memory is good.

Most Jap stuff is good quality.

RE: Broadband for £11.75

No ! I`m Brian and so`s my wife !

RE: BT Openworld broadband account holders - How to reduce the monthly fee

Try www.plus.net they are £18.99 a month (for basic service).

They also give money off (forever) for each person you recommend.
It is possible to have a zero monthly bill, or them even owe you money.

BTW I`m with NTL so I`m not making `owt.

Tim.

RE: B&Q:Cordless Hammer Drill-£20

If you wan`t a vey good cordless drill go for a 24V hammer with two batteries and a 1 hour charge. Screwfix have got a Ferm branded one for about £60 at the moment, but I think the Power Devil and NuTool versions are almost exactly the same. They can be picked up from about £40, I know Woolworths and Maplin have had versions about this price.

For what it is worth, I have had the Ferm version for about 18 months and I have had no problems whatsoever. Infact I have not had to resort to my mains drill in all that time, including fixing a long fence to a wall and putting down decking. The 1 hour charge and a spare battery means you will always be ready.

Don`t skip on the volts! Go for the 24V version.
