RE: Toshiba SD220 Playing SVCD - Richer Sounds
I bought the same player from Richer Sounds today. I`ve played VCD`s and SVCD`s on CD-R and CD-RW with no real probs. I have noticed that they tend to pause momentarily every minute or so - a bit like a layer change pause - but that might be down to me as I`m new to this encoding lark.

Update : I`ve checked with Tridek, who are one of the region-free mod suppliers used by Richer Sounds, and the component output is unaffected by the mod.

Not so !! I have just received an e-mail from Andrew at tridek.co.uk who modify players for companies such as Richer Sounds.The region-free mod should not disable the component output.

My mate bought this player from Richer Sounds two weeks ago. He has had no problems playing RCE discs.
Tosh SD510E Multi-region from Richer Sounds
Can anybody confirm for me please whether this player has any problems with the component output ? I intend to buy it fairly soon but I need the component output to work and I have seen a post here where somebody appears to have lost the component out on a modified SD220-e from the same company.
