If you are getting a surround system make sure it is at least dolby digital 5.1 as a lot are only pro logic. Dolby digital 5.1 has far superior sound as the rear speakers have seperate channels and are in stereo whereas pro logic only has mono sound in the rear speakers, provided your dvd player has 5.1 capabilities. I bought the yamaha TSS-1 series speaker system from pc world for £167. It has an optical socket a coaxial socket and two stereo sockets front and rear. The system is compatible with DTS, 5.1 and pro logic. I love this speaker set as everything is small and neat and sounds fantastic. However it is not suitable for large rooms. From the prices of the products you mentioned I would be surprised if they were 5.1 dolby digital compatible, it is worth spending a little extra for one that is.

The pioneer DV350 is a solid machine, easily multi region, great picture quality, and only 149.99 in most places. It has had very good reviews as well.

I had a similar issue with my bush dvd player. On my player I went to setup and changed some settings. Fiddle around until your start up screen is in colour. You may have to exit setup each time you change a setting before any changes occur.

Try switching off your digisender box when you want to watch a dvd, this might work, if not take the scart adapter back to the shop. Good luck

You will only get this message when you purchase an item over £18 as you are allowed to purchase items free from customs up to this price. Customs charges are based on the weight and the price of the package. I have purchased items at £29.99 and had no problems and no charges. Even if you do get charged by customs you won`t have to pay that much, and if you are buying it from play, you will probably still end up saving.

I wouldn`t go for Tiny or Time, cutomer service is rubbish, there just not up to par with what consumers expect. I would go for a Dell or an Evesham (check spelling). These two companies are the best. I have a Dell laptop. It went wrong after about a month because the hard drive and the cd rom went haywire but Dell apologised fixed everything and replaced my cd rom drive with a dvd rom drive to say sorry all this within a week. Since then I have had no problems at all and if I have any query`s I just send an e-mail and they reply within hours.

Super Smash Brothers Melee is pretty good but only if you play regularly against mates. So is Bloody Roar.
Burnout is good but too easy and wave race is frustrating.
To tell you the truth though, just rent some games at blockbuster until the really good titles come out in the next few months like Eternal Darkness, Mario Sunshine, Metroid, Turok etc they should have a longer lifespan than most of the games out now.

Pausing a dvd can sometimes lead to bad lip sync. Also depending on the quality of your dvd player, the better the quality the less likely it is to get lip sync problems. With computer dvd-drives this can happen alot depending on your decoder. Stopping the dvd is probably the best way to sort the problem out. I occasionally get lip sync problems and I do the same. You may want to try changing a few setup configurations on your dvd player, your controller should have a setup button of some sort, just fiddle around and experiment.

Yeah works fine on my other dvd player. Just found an article on this at gamerweb. Different xbox`s have problems playing certain dvd`s. Some don`t play Shrek, others don`t play any Disney films etc
What is it with Summer titles.
Why oh why do all the crap games come out in the summer, that`s if any games come out at all. Then in the winter all the must buy games come out within weeks of each other. This is so annoying, how do you chose between metroid, eternal darkness, mario sunshine, zelda, splinter cell, turok etc, it`s madness.

On order tracking, my order number is red, which means, according to the key, that my order has been cancelled. I never cancelled my order so could it mean that the item is out of stock or what? Confused, first time I used them.
