Once you stop the disc it seems the perm hack cannot be enabled (thats my experience anyway)

After much research I have come to the conclusion that the Hitachi DV305e can only be temp hacked. The prem hack cannot be enabled because the R1 disc has to be stopped when the player is switched off/on to enter setup mode to use either the parental code hack or the brightness adjust hack.
This is where the Hitachi differs from the Samsung 709 (disc doesn`t have to be stopped to enter setup menu). If anyone has managed to get the perm hack to work on the Hitachi please let us know.
Hitachi (DVD DVP-305E) Help needed for Hack
I`ve managed to get the temp hack to work - but I can`t save it (either by changing Display to bright or by changing parental password)
Can anyone help ??? - Maybe my prob is that I have to stop the disc playing to enter dispay mode to change default brightness. Any help would be much appriciated.
