I can`t seem to find any information about a hack for a HITACHI DV P305e
in fact I can`t seem to find any information about a DV P305e can anyone help?

There isnt a remote hack for this machine. It may be chippable however.

previous reply is wrong.
the hitachi dvp305e is made by samsung this year, and will become
the samsung dvd511.
the firmware chip inside is v4.02.
i suggest you try the samsung dvd709 hack for firmware version v3.26 and above, using a awia or one for all handset.
the unit should not require chipping.

managed to find a temporary hack, is there a permanent one anyone.

ok here goes.

the system i used was an:
AIWA - MODEL NO - XR/AVH1200
REMOTE CONTROL NO - RC/ZAS05

1. switch on the dvd player without any discs inside.

2. on the aiwa remote press the clock button two to four times in quick succession.

3. the word ADJUST will appear on the players display window, and the disc draw will open.

4. pop in the region 1 disk and close the drawer and the movie will play.

as this is only temporary, i obtained a one for all 5 learning remote and reprogrammed on of the buttons on it, to act as the clock button on the aiwa, now this is done i simply use the one for all 5 every time to load region 1 disks.
