Anyone know where this is sold cheap?

I`ve seen it on Amazon for £10, I`ve been to my local MVC and HMV but they don`t have it. Has anyone seen it cheap in any other high street stores. I hate buying stuff from the net (insecure about credit card details!) so if I can get it from Virgin or anywhere else that would be better.

Back to the Future Trilogy Region 4 DVD

I recently ordered this from CDWOW for £17.99, wot a bargain!

I just wanted to know if region 4 can play on region 2 players without having to use a hack. My DVD player has a region free hack anyway but I heard that region 4 plays on most region 2 players.

Cheap DVD Players

Just posting to ask about cheap DVD players. My PS2 has broken and is beyond repair unless I shell out loads.

Can you tell me the cheapest DVD players around that play region 1 (either with a hack or straight out the box).

I found I watch more DVDs than I actually play games so I am gonna get a cheap DVD player to replace it.

Can you buy CDs and Tapes as well. I thought it was just restricted to DVDs.

I have bought 3 DVDs and have just started my second year. Can I pay off my other 3 with CDs, videos or tapes then?

I think Nintendo and Microsoft may have made a big mistake holding back the releases of their consoles.

I don`t think either of them can challenge the PS2s market domination. At first I thought the PS2 would bomb but right now it is so strong. It has suberb games like GTA3, GT3 and Evolution Soccer plus incoming are Metal Gear Solid 2 (surely to be the best game in the world) and Max Payne.

It will be the same old story for Nintendo, they have a crap opening games line up as usual. They have only really been succesful with the SNES and GameBoy. All their other projects seem to have dies on their arse. For once I won`t be buying Nintendos new console.

As for Microsoft it looks more promising but I have the feeling that the XBox will bomb. Bill Gates surely can`t be market leader in games consoles. Microsoft got where they are by buying the opposition. XBox can`t do that with Sony.

If the 2 new consoles were released within 6 months of the PS2 it could have been a different story.

Mallrats Region 2

This DVD was released on 24th Dec but when I went around the shops today I couldn`t find it anywhere.

I was also looking for Best In Show and The Shawshank Redemption but they were nowhere to be found. Probably due to the massive post xmas sales (I couldn`t believe how many people were in town 2day!)

Anyway if any of you have seen any of these 3 DVDs around please tell me where you saw them and @ what price? Otherwise i`ll have to buy online.

There must have been some problem with the disc or something. Its really weird for them to withdraw the disc. I`ll go and have a look in my Smiths see if they have them. Though its probably wiser to see if they re-release it.

But £19.99 is very tempting.

There are loads of cool DVDs on Amazon now for £7.99. I recently got Blade Runner, it only cost me about £3.80 cos I used my voucher to buy it.

RE: Kevin Smith films on UK DVD!!!

Somehow I came across Kevin Smiths email address so I asked him about Region 2 release.

He said it was out of his hands and its was the studios who decided which DVDs to release on R2. He advised me to just buy the R1s as the extras will almost always be better than R2.

I have all his movies on R1 and I can tell you they are top. Tonnes of extras. Best ones for me are Chasing Amy Criterion Edition and Dogma SE.

Selling R1 DVDs on the High Street

I was just wonmdering is it illegal for stores like MVC,Virgin and HMV to sell R1 DVDs.

I have just started getting R1 DVDs but I would prefer to get them somewhere else but the internet. Know any shops that sell them anyone?

Also where can I get R0 Life of Brian. The R2 version is abysmal.

How long does it take for Play247 to deliver? I ordered Region 1 Clerks and it said "Posted" with the date "11/12/01" next to it when I logged on to my user account.

Do they usually take this long to deliver?
