What TV should i get PLEASE!!!

Im on a reasonably tight budget £500

im 16

and ive got a dvd player with 5.1 decoding and the spoeakers already

the TV will be used to watch movies a lot, and play a lot of Xbox and Gamecube and Ps2 games.

A few major things are whether or not its worth forking out the extra money on a flat screened TV or not, and as im paying for it myself id like the extra cash spending to be worthwhile.

Are there any tv`s u guys recommend???

Thanks in advanced.

P.S. I can stretch the budget if really really needed.

What are the best ten movies to exploit my 5.1 system????

I want the five best movies to use the 5.1 digital effect to its best, help me out guys...

Thanks.

RE: HOW should i layout my 5.1 speakers???????

thanks people u guys really helped me out!!

RE: HOW should i layout my 5.1 speakers???????

Well i tried both of them and they both dont recomment any specific layout, but their diagrams show the rears line up with the fronts, so im kinda screwed at the moment.....

HOW should i layout my 5.1 speakers???????

Is it vital that the left and right fronts line up with the rear left and right???

Because its for my bedroom and i want a good surround experience but a little restricted on space, basically after doin a mental layout it seems the front left and right will be closer together than the surround ones.

Is there a recommended layout????

Please bear in mind, i will go to GREAT lengths to get a better experience, any help is appreciated.

THANKS!!!
