For Sale: PORTABLE DVD/TV PLAYER with LCD - REGION FREE & MACROVISION FREE!

I have a couple of these brand new and boxed fantastic little players to sell.
It is a fully portable DVD/SVCD/VCD player with built in Television.
Has a 7" LCD screen and removeable lithium battery pack for use on trains/planes where there is no power source.
Comes with leads to use with your TV at home (audio & video out), S-video, an in-car cigarette lighter adapter for use on those long boring car journeys, and 110/240v AC adapter so it can be used via the mains in any country.
A truly versatile little player....I bought one for my children as an early Christmas present and we`re all chuffed to bits with it. No more `are we nearly there yet?` when we go to visit Nanny!
Cost is £425 incl insured delivery to your door, providing you live in the UK. (No customs/VAT to pay)
If you`re interested and for full spec and pictures you can email me: eyafassilem[at]moc.dlrowltn

RE: problems with matsui120

HiI had a Matsui 125 until thisafternoon.
The lipsink problem according to Curry`s is due to there only being one laser reading the disc whereas the `decent` ones have double or triple lasers.
Our Matsui 125 was juddering all over the place, skipping scenes and freezing for a second or two - a nightmare when you`re watching any kind of action film.
It had been repaired once a month ago under warranty, new laser part fitted and still no better. I went to Currys today and told the manager it was crap and I didn`t want a repair or another one. He agreed, said he cringed every time he sold one as he knows they`re crap and although wouldn`t give a refund he did exchange it for another make of our choice for the same money.
Thank you Currys, not a bad service.
If yours is still under warranty my advice is take it back to them!
All the best
Melissa

RE: "Gifts" Anybody know how many you are allowed with Customs?

I just bought a portable dvd player from HK and got stung for customs. Can anyone tell me how they work out their charges..I know there`s an £11 clearance fee, if it`s 3.5% on contents value, then what is the 17.5% calculated from, and is that added to the 3.5%????

RE: Hack needed for Sanyo SL20

I just bought one of these. It`s supposed to play CD-R, so I downloaded an mpeg movie file onto CD-R to try it out - disc was not recognised.
Have you tried a dvd-r? It`s supposed to play those too.
The instruction manual says it does not play VCD or SVCD, yet their website says it plays video CD...I`m boggled!
Have you had any luck or is it just sold under false claims!
(Nice looking machine tho!)

RE: Looking for a BARGAIN portable dvd player with 6

Hi
Only problem with the Goodmans G500 is that it has no rechargeable battery so no good for trains/planes.
I had thought about the separate tv & dvd issue, but again, I might as well spend on something which I can use for travel & hols as well as in the car.
I have seen some really cheap ones on Ebay.com so I might have to take a risk and go there.....
If anyone has any more ideas I`m up for suggestions! Thanks again.
Melissa

Looking for a BARGAIN portable dvd player with 6

Hi
Can anybody suggest a good, preferably cheapish ie £300 portable dvd player with built-in lcd screen.
If it plays CD-R then that would be even better, but can`t be too fussy when on a budget....it`s for my kids in the car etc and Santa is a bit skint this year!
Any ideas greatly appreciated
Cheers, Melissa.

Can You Help? Macro disable code for Matsui 125 needs tweeking!

I have found the following Macro disable code for the Matsui DVD player:

RE: Multi-Region Hack for Matsui 125

Hi Craig, you sound like a bit of an expert on the MATSUI 125 so wondered if you`d mind if I picked your brains a little.....
Do you know a way to turn the macro off so I can record my kids dvd movies onto video for use on the kitchen TV/Vid...(a small bribe to get them to eat their dinner!)
Hope to hear back soon, thanks!
