RE: MINOLTA DIMAGE Z1 - I`ve Been after one for ages - Its only £229! now from PC World
Has anyone actually received one of these Minolta Z1 cameras from PCW yet ?
I ordered one on 22rd Dec 2003 from the PCW website
PCW debited my card the next day.
I didnt expect to get it before Xmas but hopefully during the week after.
When nothing arrived before Mon 5th Jan, I called them to be told that it would be with me by the end of the week. Nothing came that week
I rang them again on Friday 9th and after a 15 min wait was told that they had plenty in stock but were delayed because of the Xmas rush and it would be the middle of this week at the earliest
I have since received an email today telling me that they expect to ship it next week and apologising for the delay.
As you can guess I am not pleased.
I also notice that the price has gone up to £264.49, I wonder are they hoping that I will cancel ? I WONT !
Are PCW always like this ?

RE: DVD Home Theatre Centre
For readers in Northern Ireland the same system is available in Lidl from Mon 22/12/03
But the price on the website is only £89.99

Nice surprise as normally these things are more expensive over here.
Nice one Lidl :)

Pioneer DVDR-108 (same as DVDR-104 but allegedly has data code removed to allow you to use x2 unbranded media) - Not in stock at the moment but may be worth waiting for. I got mine for £196 inc Vat & Delivery - Works for Movies & PS2. The drive is labelled as a Pioneer 104 and recognised as such by the PC
From Site :
BenQ 2108VR is the OEM model of Pioneer DVR-104B . The firmware is also Pioneer .

Simpsons Series 2 R1 sticks on Disk1 menu with Wharfedale 750s
Just got this excellent box set from CDWOW but disk 1 freezes once the menu loads, this is the second copy so it doesnt appear to be the DVD.
Anyone else having this problem on any other players or can offer a solution.
Does the R2 work any better on a Wharfedale 750s?

RE: 1 years free line rental for 39.99 from CPW on a 3310. !!!!!!!
My cheque came from CPW directly
Good luck in contacting them, I tried twice by email after I had ordered my phone as the welome pack did not mention the refund anywhere.
In both cases I did not get any reply, luckily the cheque eventually arrived.
It may be better to contact their helpline number which you can get from the website or the info which came with the phone.
Good Luck !!!

RE: Safe Door £5 Voucher
They have a special arrangement with CD-WOW which allows orders with minimum spend of £5.01 including the voucher. You have to signup using a link from the CD-WOW site though.

RE: 1 years free line rental for 39.99 from CPW on a 3310. !!!!!!!
Ordered Mine on Sun Afternoon. Got an E-mail yesterday saying it was out of stock and on a "high priority" back order. It also gave a number to ring to discuss an alternative option. When I rang this they said there was no alternative but it would be dispatched in 7-10 days.
Strange that I ordered mine before the poster above and yet his phone has arrived and mine is out of stock!
I guess I will just have to wait.
