Connection help needed?

ok telewest coming next week to connect Digital tv and broadband.
i have 2 scarts on back of tv(1 standard, 1 rgb)
at present i have dvd player to the RGB scart and VCR to the other scart.
Which is the best way to connect when telewest come?
i only have 1 rgb socket on my VCR
also does the broadband cable come into the house seperately or will it run from my set-top box to my PC?
Thanks

RE: Telewest digital?

i`m also connecting to Blueyonder....does the cable that connects to my computer come into the house as a seperate line or does it have to go to the set top box?
oh and is there any difference in the digital picture quality if you have to connect via tv-out rather than a scart socket?

Telewest digital?

i`m just going onto Telewest digital tv down here in devon..(about time too...lol)
Can someone please tell me what connection to your tv they use? i guess its through a SCART socket..
...so if i`ve got my DVD player in scart1 and my video in scart2 at present then how will they connect me up??
and comments appreciated...

RE: Which SCART sockets?

yes but if i take option 2 and swap the SCARTS around will this affect my stereo capabilities of my VCR?

Which SCART sockets?

my TV has 2 SCART sockets...SCART1=RGB SCART2=S-Video
at the present time i have VCR SCART output to SCART1(RGB)

now i`ve connected DVD SCART output to SCART2 on the TV but as this is a S-Video connector i get black and white picture unless i set DVD mode to video rather than RGB...
Q1. Will this make any difference?
Q2. If so should i just switch the DVD to SCART1(RGB) and VCR to SCART2(S-Video){what will this do to the video)
Q3. Get an S-Video out lead from DVD to SCART2(S-Video) on TV
Advice please!!!

RE: DVD - how to connect so i can record?

Thanks Micoman for your reply!!!
...so which way is best then for me?
DVD has Video,S-Video and SCART outputs
VCR has SCART output RF input and output
TV 2xSCART inputs RF input

thing is at the moment VCR/SCART to TV/SCART
VCR/RF output to TV/RF input
VCR/RF input connected to cable TV

this leave nothing free on VCR but a SCART free on TV
any advice gratefully received !!

DVD - how to connect so i can record?

..if i can then which is the best way to connect my DVD/VCR to my TV??
