Yes, but only UK Pal region 2 discs unless you DVD player outputs NTSC as Pal 50.

If your DVD/TV has RGB wired scarts then this is the best connection.
Has your DVD player 2 scarts? S-Video out?

Problem is most have only one like mine which you need to connect to the VCR. I dont think most VCR`s with through-put RGB so you will have to use the S-video output and phono audio outputs to connect to your other scart on your TV or Hi-Fi like me(if you have one?)

Thanks Micoman for your reply!!!
...so which way is best then for me?
DVD has Video,S-Video and SCART outputs
VCR has SCART output RF input and output
TV 2xSCART inputs RF input

thing is at the moment VCR/SCART to TV/SCART
VCR/RF output to TV/RF input
VCR/RF input connected to cable TV

this leave nothing free on VCR but a SCART free on TV
any advice gratefully received !!
