RE: Panasonic DMR 50 problem

Yes I have been reading on other forums and I don`t think it is a disk problem but more likely a file structure issue.

Thanks again for all the reply`s

RE: Panasonic DMR 50 problem

Thanks for the info.
I will be definitely saving up and buying one of them. If you get one lets us know what you think of it.

RE: Blank DVD-R Media for Panasonic DMR E50 - Compatibility Question

I have used 3 different makes and all have worked . They were Datawrite 4x Red top. Bulkpaq generation 3 purple top and Datawrite 4x general purpose white top.
The red top ones played ok in the DMR but there was a little bit of pixelation in my standalone.
The other 2 were no problem.
One more thing the Bulkpaq disks, I have been told, do not work in every standalone.
You will probably get a lot of differing opinions as to what is best and a few horror stories so it will be up to you which disk to use.

RE: Panasonic DMR 50 problem

I did not buy the DMR 50 because of the format. I bought it because the only other alternative for me was the Philips. Being a TV/video engineer I know from experience that Philips equipment is not very good so didn`t want to take a chance.

RE: Panasonic DMR 50 problem

Thanks everybody for your reply`s.
I think the only solution is to buy another DVD drive and see how that works. But a bit short of money now so will have to wait. If it cures it I will post again.

RE: Panasonic DMR 50 problem

Yes the disks are finalised. My computer will play the cheap disks no problem when they are burnt with any pc dvd burner.
I think it must be something to do with the way panasonic burner writes the disk. It must be incompatible with my DVD drive.
I was hoping somebody else might of had the same problem. I will have to buy a new pc DVD drive.
Any suggestions?

Panasonic DMR 50 problem

I have had this m/c a week now and done several recordings onto DVD-r
disks. I have tried three different makes and they all play perfectly well on my standalone players but my PC dvd drive won`t play any of them. I have quite a few DVD-r which were done on different dvd burners and they all work on my PC fine.
I was just wondering if anybody else has had this problem and if there is a cure
.
Thanks

RE: Some Mico questions......

I rang 4 Sainsbury supermarkets before i found one that sells the mico clasica 20. Problem is that there is a shortage of the machine and it would be a month before they would have anymore in stock.
The only other place you can get a mico from is www.multizonedvd.co.uk
but it is the mico celo 80 and it costs £150. It has more features.
