RE: So it seems DVD importing is illegal
Seems like someone as added 2 and 2 together and literally come up with 5...I think the whole issue as been misinterpreted and doubt you will ever come across the day where it was illegal to import DVD`s for your own personal use, thats an infringement on your basic rights....
RE: Audio Connection?
If i am correct the Tosh tv is Dolby digital compatable therefore the excellent Ixos lead you have should be fine indeed..This lead goes from the coaxial output of the DVD player to the digital input ( DVD ) on your TV. Providing however your DVD does have a coxial output and not the spdif ( opitcal ) one...In my view the Denon as a whole no matter where on the scale, are very good products indeed and come highly recommended at any value so good luck in your hunting...Final point if this lead does not work it might be better for the time being getting two audio leads to connect from your DVD to your TV this will only give you dolby stereo and surround will not give you the full benefits of Dolby Digital...It all sounds confusing but rest assured it gets easier..A good site for any queries is www.homecinemachoice.com..Enjoy!
RE: HELP: Region 1 websites needed
I would strongly recommend the following..
1 - www.amazon.com
2 - www.kencrane.com
3 - www.discemporium.co.uk ( though based in the UK their aim is to supply Region 1 and 2 DVD`s at the very best prices and I have had plenty of dealing with them in the past, they are top notch firm )
Hope one of these help your needs...
RE: Indiand Jones 4
As far as I know Capshaw and Speilberg are no longer together unless what I hear is wrong lol.....But who cares bring Indy down...:)
RE: Region 4 DVD`s
You will find that only the minority of films come in Region 2 and 4, I have had to recently convert my DVD to accept Region 2 with my australian player but the quality is good and well you will find the DVD`s in Australia are so much cheaper than in the UK..For instance I recently brought Brigette Jones Diary for $29 which is around 12 pound in UK money..:)
RE: please help PAL60Hz????
I would in all honesty get a TV that takes pure NTSC and don`t worry too much about the Quasi pal especially as you seem to be using sources from Region one..nearly all latest TV have multi standard so there should not be a problem hooking up your DVD to your TV and getting a solid picture...
RE: (SCART / RGB PROBLEM) Sanyo CE28WN4-B TV
Hi there
I am going on a limb here by saying the Playstation 2 as far as I know and what I can gather does not give out a true RGB output, despite the fact to the instruction manual and the numerous gadgets you can buy saying RGB scart for Playstation 2. Though the picture in S video is not that great compared to the superior S Video its much better than composite..I will probably get a few heckles from some quarters but I will put my head on the block, just don`t chop off yet...:)
RE: Rat Race
I seen this movie on my flight from the UK to Australia, its a kind of remake of ` its a mad mad world ` with Phil Silvers..Worth getting, well if you mean is it one of those films you can pay to go and see then no, its more of ` I will wait for the video release ` then again this is only my preferred opinion...Mark1ace1

RE: TOSHIBA 32 WD98B - screen image
Toshiba have a thing for passing the buck and this problem as been around for ages with apparently no end in sight, get rid of it and try a Philips or Sony at least you can expect some more reliable performance....
RE: Problem with Sharp TV
Have you got auto wide on?
RE: PHILIPS DVD PICTURE FLICKER WITH RGB
As your philips player been adjusted in the menu setup to state its going through to RGB and not SVid or composite?
RE: Best Bass moment ever!
