NEW SAMSUNG SV-DVD1E / DVD1EA HACK -IT REALLY WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all credit should go to Laurent Bonaventure for this one.

If you are one of the people who for weeks have been trying to hack their SV-DVD1E player with the hacks on this site, but have found that they do not work, or if you have an SV-DVD1EA player, just like I have your wish has come true.

Here it is at last.

1. Power on the player

2. Select the DVD screen by using TV View, and make sure the light on the player is selecting the DVD and not VHS.

3. Do the cold start, i.e Pause and ffwd on the player, and select your language.

4.Now press SUBTITLE on the remote.

5.Type in the code which can be found elsewhere on this site that corresponds to the existing region of the player, i.e type 38767 for region 2 machines, then 02 will be displayed in the top left of the TV screen.

6. Press 9 for region free.

7. Press OPEN on the remote and wait for 15 seconds.

8. Press STANDBY on the remote to turn the machine off.

9. Turn the machine back on, either with the remote or on the player itself, put in a R1 disk and VOILA!!!!!! you now have, after weeks of trying, a multi region player.

when you hacked your machine, and you pressed setup did you do this on the cold start screen (i.e after you pressed pause and ffwd). Because everytime I press setup I just get the standard dvd setup screen, then after I press repeat a/b and I type in the numbers the cursor moves down to different options. WHAT AM I DOIN WRONG PLEASE HELP!!!

i have tried this method and it doesnt work!, all i get is the different options on the setup screen when i press the numbers, any idea why?????

i have tried the hacks on this site but they don`t work has anyone got any tips or a new method? I need a detailed step by step guide for exactly what to do and what you see on the screen at that time, cheers!!!

I bought my girlfriend a samsung m105 for christmas brand new and the hack for it worked straight away, first time!!!!!!

when you say the language screen, is this the one when you cold start with the play and ffwd buttons? Does this mean you dont select the language but press setup here instead???

This ones for Chris O`Shea or anyone who can shed some light on the subject, do u know if this hack works for the samsung sv-dvd1e combi aswell, as I`m having problems tryin to get it to work, when I type the code in you can see it on screen, and with the Repeat button the only Repeat button on the dvd remote is the A-B Repeat, is it correct to press this one?????

im having real problems getting the hack to work, it wont have any of it is there anything specific i need to bear in mind. Has anyone else thought that it didnt work and then found that it did, What did you do!!!!!!

There is no REPEAT button on the remote only A-B REPEAT, is this the button or do I have an updated remote???

I have recently bought the samsung combi vcr and dvd, and want to hack it to become multi region. I have tried all the suggested ways on the site and they do not work. Does anyone have any idea, or does this machine have new firmware that cant be hacked?

Or do you have any tips for the methods on the site, could I be doing something wrong??????
